Question about Samsung YP-K3 MP3 Player
I Cannot charge YP-K3 player on my desktop with Win XP. When i plug it in, it says hi-speed USB device plugged into Non Hi-speed USB port. Do i need USB 2.0 or maybe Win XP SP2 to get USB 2.0 ?? The player still gets connected and says 'charging'..but it does not get charged at all..shud it not charge atleast or i need USB 2.0 to charge it too ??plz help..
The usb message has nothing to do with the ability of the unit to charge. It just means that the port on your computer is recognised as a USB 1.1 port.
It is more likely that the battery no longer holds a charge. The battery can be replaced but it is difficult to open up the unit without damaging the casing. There are instructions on opening up the unit on youtube. Other than buying a faulty unit with a working battery I don't know how to get hold of the batteries. Be careful when replacing the battery. If it is connected the wrong way you will fry your unit.
