Question about Sony VAIO GRT250 Notebook
Hey I was just wondering if anyone has any idea how to help me. I just bought this laptap and reinstalled windows on it and all the devices work correctly except for my audio device. I've tried downloading the driver from the HP website but when it was install it came up with "Driver Installation Failed: Could not find the MEDIA device for this driver.", i went through every troubleshooting i could find and i also tried updating BIOS and still no luck. In my device manager under "Other" I'm guessing that the sound card is the "PCI Device" and it has the Yellow "?" beside it meaning it's not installed. if anyone can help it'd be much appreciated thanks
Speakers should be on fron and top side.

Open Device manager & right click on the device & uninstall it. You will need to know where you stored uncompressed driver files. If windows Jumps up & want to install just Cancel window popup window. Go back into Device manager. Right click the device & install the driver from there. You'll have to show windows the path to where the driver is stored, so use the Browse button. If by some chance fails. Try Windows update.
There is alway Presario's long list of suggestions (arrg)!
