I can't get the Estensa 5620 to recognize a flash

Then it really isnt working. If it sees no disk in drive when there is one then the lasers inside the drive are either extremely dirty or no longer any good. Pull it out flip it over look at the model number and order u a new one. However try running a DVD cleaning cd in there 1st.

Not all computers detect DVD-ROMs. Look at the label on your laptop drive. If it says it supports DVD-ROMs, than you will be able to use it. If not, consider buying a DVD-ROM drive.

No the only thing you can do is use headphones or purchase external laptop speakers.

uninstall all usb drivers and then install again.

go to device manager under System Properties. Locate DVD/CD Drives, expand it, select your drive, right click and then left click on properties, select the General tab and check the state of the device IT SHOULD indicate the device is working properly, if so or if not, select the Driver tab unomstall the driver, reboot, see if Windows will reinstall the driver as it should recognize the device as a new drive. If not return to the device manager and reinstall the driver.

Most inexpensive upgrade would be to purchase a bluetooth USB plugin.

Look on ebay for hinge covers. Sometimes you will find them on there. Good luck!
