You have to connect the pink / blue wire to the 'parking brake' or just ground it

when it's grounded the unit thinks the parking brake is on and therefore 'safe' to edit

How do i set home in my nuvi 2505 when the wrong address was added at first

To change the home address on the Nuvi, select Where To? on the left side of the main screen. Then choose Saved > Home and then press i > Edit . After you make the needed changes, press Done. (To edit some Saved items, you have to press Menu (the icon with the horizontal lines) after pressing the i button to see the Edit option.)

The manuals for the Nuvi 2595 LMT and the 2505 are available here: http://support.garmin.com/support/manuals/manuals.htm?partNo=010-01002-01&language=en&country=US .

I hope this helps.

I bought a used 660 on ebay, it seems to have some propriotory splash page and on display page there is no option to change splashpage. how do i get it back? also on whereto page there is no go home...

At the menu, press the wrench (settings), then the display icon. On the display menu, select "splashscreen" and you'll be able to change the boot-up screen if there are other images on the unit. You can add your own images by uploading them to the unit via a USB cable connected between the GPS and Nuvi.

You have to set a location as the HOME destination first. If you already entered your home address, press "WHERE TO", then "FAVORITES" and click on your home address. Select EDIT and you should see a prompt to set the address as your home address.

How do you edit the phone home number on a nuvi 1490?

To edit your home phone number, press "Where To?" "Favorites" "Home" and then "Edit". You should be able to edit your home location and/or home phone number from there. The unit is also capable of loading the phonebook from your phone, so you might edit the home phone number in your phone, too.

Just got new tomtom white pearl. how do I register to get £10 off accessories

Download the Home application from www.tomtom.com (you may have to select your country or area). After installing the application, connect the GPS to computer. When it asks you to connect to computer, tap Yes. The Home application should launch and communicate with the GPS. You need a valid email address to register.

In the Home there is an icon about activating (rebates, products on your unit that need activation,)

I am not aware of any rebate, so you will have to explore your contry's site to find what you need. Sorry I could not be of more help to you.

To make things easy for you I am enclosing a screen capture from the HOME 2.7 application.

Locating satelites

Are you outside, exposed to the GPS signals?

If so, have you tried resetting the unit?

Remove the face cover (GENTLY pry it loose by using the fingernail groove directly under the GARMIN logo), press the RESET button, then re-attach front cover... this is covered in the owners manual, also available online at garmin.com /support /downloads
