Question about MPC Computers Envision EN 780e (White) 17 in.CRT Conventional Monitor

Envision EN 780e Monitor Vertical Problem

I was attempting to adjust the vertical on my monitor. As I was using the buttons on the front of the monitor to navigate, I relaized they weren't perfoming their designated tasks, if performing at all. The end result is a screen that is half black, half web page, with no tool bar visible. And best of all, now I can't open the monitors menu to readjust, none of the buttons work. Please HELP before this thing goes out the window. Thank you.

Get rid of "Out Of Range" message on e218c1 monitor.

The device driving the monitor is exceeding the horizontal and vertical frequencies that the monitor can display .....thus the "out of range". The specs for this state that the Horizontal Freq. is 80Khz and the Vertical Rate is 75hz. If you are driving this monitor from a computer running Windows, reboot the PC and use the F8 key to put it in SAFE mode. This will cause the video driver to default to a rate that the monitor can handle. Then go into the screen resolution settings and reset them. The native resolution of the monitor is 1680x1050 at 60 Hz. Exceed that and you'll get the "out of range"

The display does not fill the screen of the monitor. How can I fix this

It depends on the type of monitor you have. Generally you will have a physical menu button on your monitor. Depress this and look for Vertical and Horizontal adjustments using the arrow keys on your monitor. You can stretch the screen all you like to fit the diameter of your monitor.

Will my Envision 19" monitor,

You will need to set the display resolution and vertical sweep rate on the computer to something the monitor can handle. The monitor works best at 1440 x 900 at 59.8 Hz vertical rate. If your laptop's graphics chip doesn't have this setting (available settings are listed in the Display control panel), then look on page 19 of the monitor's owner's manual to find something that matches a resolution listed in the control panel.

Unfortunately this monitor has captived VGA cable, you cannot easily replace it. Try moving the cable around to see if you will get normal color back.

Look for "buttons" on the bottom-front or bottom-edge of the monitor.

One button will activate the OSD ("On Screen Display). Through the OSD, you can change the "vertical size" and "vertical position" of the display.

I have vertical colorful lines on the screen just got a new computer with windows vista

the monitor is bad if your getting vertical lines on it. Anytime you get vertical lines on any monitor, LCD, laptop LCD, etc, then that means the screen is bad.

Your monitor needs to be replaced.
