Invalid win32 program

Other issues appeared with the Epox Mobo I had to buy something else. I wanted to use most if not all of my pci cards with the new board, purchased a board by PC Chips M848A V5.0, Socket 462 /ATX. Everything works fine, except when I reinstalled winxp all the programs I want to install XP says "not a valid win32 program". I just want to reinstall MS Office, Adobe Photoshop etc, I don't have any win32 programs. Can someone help me solve this problem? Thanks in advance.

Hi I have a supermicro x8sti Server Board inside

Basically you have two choices for installation of video card:
1. To purchase small form factor PCIe card suitable for installation on 1U server chasis or
2. Purchase PCI express riser card and to install most full-sized PCI Express cards (Check this link for PCI Riser )

Need graphics upgrade

Your Mobo supports PCI and PCI Express x16 Graphics Cards. Keep in mind some Graphics Cards require a MIN. Power Supply Unit, PSU. How much Memory do you have installed? That a easy upgrade. You can find some useful info here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00864946&tmp_task=prodinfoCategory&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=3340228#N144 ALSO, your choise of cards is good Take a look at this for example: http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=100006662%2040000048&IsNodeId=1&Description=graphic%20cards&bop=And&Order=PRICE&PageSize=20. ON the left side of the page you can select PCI or PCI e x16, which is a faster slot/card. You can also Upgrade your CPU, in the HP support page it list the Compatible CPU. Here is a Little freeware program that may help: http://www.filehippo.com/download_speccy/. For further assistance respond to post.

Intel D945GCZ, PCI-E video card

Mostly PCI-E now are good vga card, i have a tip for you... there's is a secret between a 512MB & 1GB PCI-E card. With this feature is required a good power supply, like for example I used Power Supply 550watts (original 500watts power supply). This power supply is different from 350watts and 500watts.. Here is a secret buy a 550 watts to boost PCI-E card both 512MB & 1GB. Secretly this performance are based on my own analysis using CPU booster freeware... I'm sure 100% more compatible & perfectly to your motherboard. Just try it at least you have idea where you want to grab PCI-E cards (any Model).
Good luck!

Hi this is vinit...i'm planning to buy new graphic crd. plz adv..

This motherboard will support any PCI-Express (also known as PCI-E or PCI-X) video card-- which is pretty much any current ATI card that's out there. You DON'T want an AGP card however-- it won't fit.

Can a Gigabyte K8N Pro SLI mobo support a PCIe 2.0 video card?

Hi Rachacha!

I have lait a few moths.
Off course, you can use the pcie 2.0 card on pcie 1.0-1.1 mobo, but the card effiency is only 90%, because the mobo have not enough power for the card.

Best regards

Epox Ep-af550g mobo

If AHCI is not enabled by the motherboard and chipset, SATA controllers typically operate in "IDE emulation" mode which does not allow features of devices to be accessed if the ATA/IDE standard does not support them. Windows device drivers that are labeled as SATA are usually running in IDE emulation mode unless they explicitly state that they are AHCI. While the drivers included with Windows XP do not support AHCI, AHCI has been implemented by proprietary device drivers.[1] Windows Vista[2] and Linux with kernel version 2.6.19 onward[3] have native support for AHCI.

Some arguments say a PCI Card, other say a AGP Card. Among the PCI Card supporters, are PCI eXpress (PCI-X), and PCI Interupt PCI-I), they will not touch a PCI that is not one or the other.

Gigabyte onboard vga is not default... no pci card

What you can do here is remove the Battery on your mobo. This will reset the CMOS and then you should be able to access your CMOS as usual. :)
