Some universal remotes have a SEARCH function that allows you to try ALL of the codes. This method tells you that you have a working code when the TV power button on the remote works during the code search. I recommend that as you do the code search that you do it slowly and count each time you hit the button for the next code. Then the next time you change the batteries you will know to hit the code search button say 79 times. This should work!

Try this site: http://www.remotecodelist.com/remotes/
You'll need the remote you're trying to program, then follow it to a link that will give you the codes for what you're attempting to program it too..

Lost remote to 2005 screen tv jvc model # HD 61Z456. How can i program channels without remote ?

If there is no 'menu' button on TVs' control panel, you should have its remote control to make an auto-tune function. If you wish to buy its original remote control, contact the authorized service centre, or authorized dealer to your device brand. They can either give you a genuine remote control to your device, or can direct you, from where can you purchased a suitable one.
To select a proper universal remote control, you should know about the number of digits to its set-up codes. There are 3 digit, 4 digit, 5 digit, 2 digit and even single digit codes, to some brand devices. After confirming this, check the sites linked here. Both the sites have set-up code list and set-up procedure to many popular brand remote controls. Check which brand remote control has set-up code/s to your device brand, and buy that one according to availability? Brand name of the remote control isn't a matter, but it should have set-up codes in its code list, to the device brand you have.
Please note: Every new universal remote control will have set-up code list, and set-up procedure along with its pack. Never accept a remote control, that hasn't both of this. For more details about the set-up codes, visit the site http://electrohelponline.blogspot.com/ Check this site too. http://remotesearch.blogspot.com/ If you see these sites by "MOSAIC" or "Magazine" view will make surf easier. Or type in the brand name of your device in the search box, and press "Enter".
Universal remote controls are available at most of the electronic spare part selling shops.

What is the setup code for a Sylvania TV with Model Number RLC372AK01 and Serial Number 25014897? I need it to program a new remote control I recently purchased. None of the codes listed for Sylvania TVs...

The setup code may be different for each brand of remote, so a code for the TV will not help. You need to follow the instructions for the remote you bought to scan through all codes until you find one that works. Generally this is done by entering the programming mode and using the ch-up or ch-down buttons to scroll through the codes then use the power putton to see if it turns your set off. When you find the right one you press the button to 'store' it.
Your remote instruction booklet should step you through the process. If it does not have instructions for scanning all codes let us know the Brand and Model of the Remote you bought and we may be able to find the instructions.

Need help with the codes for a innovage jumbo universal remote . instruction for T.V. brand name symphonic

Hi there,

Well First, make sure the device you want to connect with your remote is turned on, whether thats the television. Now aim the Innovage remote at the device. Press the button on the remote control that corresponds to the TV. Now, press and hold the SET button on the remote control until the LED light on the remote control holds a steady red.
Enter the 4-digit code for your device by pressing the number keys on the remote control (see list below). When you press the fourth digit, the LED light should turn off. This means the remote and the device are "speaking" to each other. Press the OK button to store the code.
If the LED light blinks three times and then remains a solid red, the Innovage remote doesn’t recognize the code for your device. Verify the correct code, then go through the programming steps again.
Test the function by using your remote to cycle through all programmed TV.
Turn on the device you wish to match with your remote. Aim the remote at the device and press and hold the Code Search button in the upper left of your remote for at least 3 seconds until the LED light on the remote turns a solid red. Press the button on the remote for the item you want to program TV. The LED light should blink once and then remain a solid red.
Press the On/Off button slowly until the device you want to program turns off. The LED light will blink once each time you depress the On/Off button. When the device you want to program turns off, press the ENTER button. The LED button will turn off and the code for that device will be stored in your remote.

Good Luck!!

Thanks

Remote will not control tv

then you will need to program it to work on your t.v. On the back of your remote or on the manuel, you'll find a bunch of numbers. just match those numbers with your brand of tv and you'll have your remote programmed in no time.
