Got a Toshiba NB200, which does not connect wireless to the internet (D-link router). however Internet access with ethernet cable works.
Now for the mystery....If my other laptop (HP) is connected wireless, my Toshiba starts working wireless as well????
Both run windows XP
1. Reinstall the wireless driver.
2. Restart your system.
Thank you
In your router table you should be able set the way you accsess you wirelees network in your internet explorer on the top bar or tab click and backspace untill you see a blank space then type 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.1.2 a screen should appear and your router set up is open . you can add your laptop there and set security use wap or wep if your are accessing your wifi without security anyone within 300 feet of your house can use your router also .also when you get ready to log on go to your laptop you can go to run and type cmd than enter .when the screen appears type ipconfig /all just like this and you should se you computers address and cnnection status.
