When I turn on the printer, it attempts to cycle normally. It only gets halfway through the cycle, making all the usual noises, then just stops. The red light on the top stays lit. Opening and closing all doors, trays, etc. doesn't change anything. It's only a few months old, and has been working normally until recently. Without replacing the cartridge, I'm at a loss. Any ideas or suggestions appreciated.

What makes u think its the thermal switch? normally the noise at beginning or end of cycle is caused by the compressor with bad springs, groumets, or not sure how to explain this but the freon sits in a round bowl like orifice and when its low there is usually a loud noise at end of and beginning of cycle. other words when goes off and comes on? ( this is usually due to moving the fridge on it side and not waiting long enough for oil to settle before turning on?
I was shown how to clear your dishwasher and keep it running much longer. however, be careful when doing this. start with an empty dishwasher. pour 12 cups of cold water to the bottom area of tub and wearing latex, or rubber gloves, measre and por in exackly 2 cups of ammonia. let that solution sit there either all day, or overnight, at least a few hours, then run it through your machine, do not add anything else. do not do this with small children around. if you prefer buy the largest jug od vinegar (white) and pour it full strength into tub of your macine. let stand sevral hours, then put through a light or regulsr cycle. if you encountet that same problem empty, press drain cycle. retry usingrinse cycle instead. let me know if his resolnves your problem.
When a camera makes a noise that isn't normal, usually it's a mechanical failure of the lens. Remove the battery for a few minutes and turn the camera on and attempt to take a picture again. If it doesn't work, I can venture to guess that the camera's lens mechanism is defective.
usually, open and close door..then start counting the flashes. these will give you your fault code. The code then tells us where to go from there. off hand, i would say you have a heater problem.. Either, the water is not getting hot enough because of a faulty heater, or faulty thermostat. The button above the green light that flashes try and hold that down for a minute to reset....let me know about the flashes
There is usually a sensor on one side or the other of the carriage. When you power up the machine, the carriage will be moved to that end, setting off the sensor. Then it will move back and forth to test carriage motion. If the end sensor is faulty, the carriage will still attempt to move until it triggers the sensor, but when it gets to the extreme end, the motor will continue to attempt to move it, causing the chatter. After a time, it will stop with an error message.
Look at the carriage where the cartridges are, and you should see some kind of tab or ear on it. If it's broken, then you may get the symptoms I mentioned above. Also if you can see the sensor, make sure that it's not broken or moved out of place.
