Sounds like most records are slightly warpped, but when I took them back, they played fine on ALL other tables. It is very annoying. My best description is that it sounds like phasing issues but I don't think that is possible. Also, the pitch goes up and down in rapid succession over and over, making everything sound warbly(warped). My tables are new. I've tried changing the angle on my needles from 0 degrees alll the way up to 20 degrees, with no audible bettermen, as well as changing my anti-skating and performing several tone arm adjustments, still to no avail.Please give me a sloution or multible troubleshoots to help! The only thing you can do is clean the record with cleaning fluid. You will find special cleaning fluids for records on Amazon. If the record is warped you can try a weight pressing down on the record. But sadly if a record is warped bad there's no real cure.
It would sound like the speed control is not functioning and changing speed up and down. That might sound like a warped record as you describe it. You can try moving the controls and cleaning them with a commercial contact cleaner.

The most common cause of this is a loose or defective belt. An inferior belt will have varying thicknesses along it's length. When it hits a skinny part, it will slow slightly. When it hits the thick part, it will speed slightly. Overall effect is that the record sounds warped.

That is a strange issue. Not sure what could be causing this. Are you describing your issue correctly. Or do the records sound warped? If they sound warped, check to make sure that your voltage setting is set correctly for your area (115V or 220V). This is a switch located underneath your turntable platter. Just make sure you power off your unit before making the switch.
If this is not the issue, then I have no clue what you are talking about, as I've never hear about this on a 1200 turntable, and I work on them for a living.

I would suggest you verify you motor is sound, the platter is not rubbing. Is it direct drive or belt drive? You could go as far as check that your ac to your house is stable and the ac to dc rectifier/transformer/whatever it is called is good. When you say tables are new...as never used or made within the last 6 months?
Ya, it does sound like a power issue. Unfortunately, for the cost of this model, it might not be worth getting repaired, although I am a big fan of recycling (let's reduce our waste!).
As a service tech, I am forced to tell you that the cost of the repair will be around the $80 range, near the cost of this unit. Also, Numark does not provide much support for this unit. Parts are very hard to obtain from them, wait time is anywhere from 8-12 weeks. So, it's a matter of deciding what you want to do. Here are your options:
1) Spend the $80 or so (might be cheaper in your area - i'm in NYC) to get it fixed
2) Sell it to someone, tell them of the problem. Or better yet, give it to someone, and the cost of repairing the unit will be enough for them to have bought the unit.
3) Turn in to an elaborate paper weight!
But please don't just toss it out. If anything, please drop it off at a plastic recycling plant. Lots of plastic in this thing!
