Re: zebra 105se printer is printing out of the label on...
It would be best if we had more information, or a picture.
For instance if you told me as the label is printing it does not print on the label, and it appears shifted to the right or front, then I would say, you need to re-calibrate the printer for that label.
If you were saying that the printer is printing on the right side of the label as you face the printer and watch the label exit the printer, then I would say, that the label size in the software is wrong, or the transfer ribbon is loaded incorrectly, too far to the right as you face the label exit path, OR the labels are loaded too far to the left as you face the label exit path.

Check to see what printer driver you are using. If you are using Seagull Scientific Bartender, you will need the printer driver from Seagull Scientific for it to print properly. You can download it from the Seagull website. Hope this helps!!
Check to see if the pause light is on also. Make sure you are using the correct printer driver. (105se) Try in ZPL and then try in ZPLII. Check Delimiter character 2CH Check Format prefix 5EH Check Control prefix 7EH
I think the 105 has an adjustment on the printhead. There are left and right hand adjusters just above the printhead. It sounds as if the right hand one does not have enough pressure on it, try increasing the RH one and see the effect on the print.
Thermal printers don't have any 'color' of their own; the 'printed' text/numbers are actually only areas subjected to heat from the printhead which exposes the color of tiny beads of ink that are on the paper itself by melting them.
Use a fingernail to 'score' the paper and you will see it change color just as happens in the printer.
I would say the roller isn't the problem. I had the same problem on many Zebra printers, but often the calibration helped. Then it could do, when printing
task label is for larger/longer than the label size is set in the printer system
(conflict of software with printer settings after calibration). It could be set too down to bottom in Y axis. Or
it could be in the software settings - as action after print - not sure. Try to open the printer queue while the label is printed and check if the label has proper number of pages or there's 1 page more. If it is the right number - then the problem is on printer side (recalibrate, reflash it). If the number is about 1 higher, the problem is with settings of the label size (barcode software, printer settings) or action after print on PC side.
make sure the ribbon is installed properly. The thermal ribbons are only coated on one side with ink. Make sure the right side is facing the paper. If that is not the issue the thermal head might be bad.
