You can try spraying some engine starter in the airtake while cranking it, if it fires up with that it is probably a fuel system problem, if not it could be something else like electrical, or air.

I am not certain on this, but my guess is that you have a problem with the door closed sensor, which should be attached to the door/ light actuating button. It may be faulty, or just out of adjustment. I assume that you have contacted Samsung about what error code 88 is. Do they have any other input? What doesn't make sense is that the fridge turns off. You would think that if the door sensor read "Open door" it would continuously run, rather than shutting off, unless it is causing an overload, or overheating condition. I have had good luck w/ Samsung tech dept., but they can be a little hard to reach. Hope this helps.
You should have your upper strut mounts and tie rod ends checked out. Many times when your ball joints wear out these parts are not to far behind them and can be in need of replacement. It would be a good idea to have the front end inspected, because the problem could be a safety issue. Some shops will give you a free estimate, in hopes of getting the repair job. I would use a shop that does front end alignment they will often offer better prices, and they tend to specialize in front end repairs. Good luck with it.
If it was your cranshaft making that kind of noise.your motor would have frozen up already.it seems more like a tranny problem than an engine problem. Take it to a good mechanic. It sounds like your tranny is about to go.
This job is VERY HARD and time consuming... don't expect to be done in one day... (rookie) My dad and I did the front end on a Ford Escort 1980. pain in the ***.
Before ordering your ball joints....
check the actual rubber housing of the joints for tears.. (openings).. if NONE then check and make sure nothing from around the brake calipers is rubbing. My Kia Spectra has an obnoxious little metal flap that seems to shift over time... (husband's handy work of trying to change brakes one day made it loose.) So now they rub or kinda squeek...
Also make sure the brake pads/calipers are sitting properly.. if they're loose.. it also causes noises..
Lastly.. check that your tires aren't bottoming out on anything in the whell well or steering etc... turning too harshly can cause the wheel to bottom out against the inside sway bar and stuff...
