Make sure the wheels are clean and most importantle moving. if they are moving then the problem might be the residue from the paper is on the rollers. get some isopropyl alcohol and some qtips and fill the cap up with the alcohol and dip the q tip in the cap. clean the rollers. hope it works

Hey, I have a piece of photo paper hung in the printer. It was a short piece that got hung. You can't see it anywhere in the printer. I've tried pulling the paper out, opening the top, and that's as far as...

if it is a laser printer you can lift the roller & cartridge out, then remove the paper jamb,if it is not a laser then try running another sheet of paper through, if you have not done so as yet, apart from that i am not sure

good luck

Paper jam

open all door in your printer , front and back. , look for paper stuck inside and remove it. Sometimes small pieces of paper are difficult to be found.
If it is a Laser printer, you will also need to remove the toner and paper try and look for jammed papert underneat.
Once you done, restart the machine.
If you still have paper jam error try unplugging printer from power outlet for 5 minutes then restart.
If you still get error, then either there is paper inside or your printer may be faulty.

Brothe MFC-240C paper jam error msg won't clear

**, it is not fixed. I followed instructions on Brother web site and was able to find a piece of paper near the printhead, so I removed it. The printer makes a grinding sound when it tries to print and the same paper jam error returns and can't be cleared. I beleive that the printer repair cost will be more expensive than replacing it with a different printer, and it won't be Brother brand. I probably would not be able or have the tools to do any complicated repair job.

"Out of Paper" problem

Hi,
i,d suggest the paper sensor that you,ve disabled is suspect.
Alternatively, could be a cabling error.
Try a new printer cable, if this fails uninstall remove completely all software and printer, along with cabling. start computer/shutdown. re setup the whole printer as a new installation. if non of this works. Bin it and buy a new printer.
Finally if you,ve got standard windows 98. upgrade to 98se. might help.

My HP Deskjet F4140 was working fine until I got a piece of paper stuck. I removed and now it wont print. States printer off line and can not print a test page. IT will copy however.

Turn it off. Unplug the power cord from the printer & usb wait a minute. Plug USB in & than the power cable & turn it on. Next
Open the Printers folder.
Right-click the icon of the printer in use, and then click Open .
Click Printer on the menu, and then ensure that there are no checkmarks next to Pause Printing or Use Printer Offline . If a checkmark is present on either, click the menu option to remove it. If the menu shows Use Printer Online , click that option.

Canon

You prob have a few small pieces of photo paper jammed in the printer somewhere. Try to take something small that you can push through the printer to make sure there is nothing hidden jamming the printer.
