Can't operate the turntable and tapes. Radio OK This is a Beosound 2000

Hi u can buy a turntable belt of E/BAY £5.99 recycling-electonics,..,.Radio shack TANDY used to sell an assortment Pack of belts for tape decks etc also u can try (UK Vintage Radio) for the tape deck belts.,..Good luck

I just did that ; took an 031 oring or was it an 032; and you have to pull the whole drive mech out; it is tricky and if your not small mech inclined don\'t do it; There is a few gears and they work in tandem so when you put it back together it has to be just right; if you take it out take pictures of it as you take it apart because you will never remember how it goes back together; easy to get out; a pain to put back together. And it will all come apart just to put that oring in.

Assuming its the buttons on the unit that dont work it may be that a button on the keypad is stuck down blocking all button operations or just a faulty connection on the button pad underneath,if so these are not that expensive but are not staight forward to replace,a techs job about an hours work.

All you need to do is connect two RCA plugs into the audio in of your laptop. The two RCA's go into a tape out of the recevier. If your laptop uses 3.5mm plugs for audio conections then get a 3.5mm plug to RCA plugs. See image below.
To record the music and convert it I would get Magix Audio Cleaning Lab, which you can pick up cheap on Amazon.

The sound will then come out of your speakers on your computer and then you can record it with Magix and convert it with the software to any audio format.

If the take-up spool (r/h) doesnt turn the autostop will activate.Both these spools get clogged with old grease with age, remove and clean/regrease them,check all belts while apart and replace any limp ones.Removing the tape deck requires some knowledge.

Remove glass doors,black panels 8 screws lift up cd clamper and detatch from drive bar at top l/h corner.Lift operating panel to gain access to cable connector behind keypad,this should provide enough room to work on lamps.

Chances are you will need a replacement cd mech assy to fix this problem assuming you have already cleaned the laser lens(cotton bud with ethyl alcohol or isopropanol).dont know of universal remote for b&o but some specialist remote replacement companies do one for beolink1000 which will operate your product.

Check to see if there is a cueing lever that is holding the arm in the up position.  If no cueing lever and it has worked recently then something has happened to the changer mechanism.  Open the bottom and look to see if there is an obvious problem like something stuck or broken.  You may be able to make the mechanism go through its cycle slowly by rotating the platter with your  hand so you can see where it is getting stuck.

what are the speaker connections for left and right out put on the Beosound ouverture tape cd player.   there are 2 x 8 pin din sockets on the back what are the pin numbers?
