We just attached the macbook to the hppsc 1350v all in one printer and new print cartridges. When attempting to print, message reads"color print cartridge not compatible with this printer". We know we have the correct print cartridges(#57 colorand #56 black). The "Check print cartridge" red button just flashes on the printer. Any suggestions?

Hi,

Just to confirm pls:
1. the new print cartridges are original HP inks;
2. you have remove the bright pink tape from the ink cartridges;
3. the black is on the right side and the color is on the left side.

You can try removing both cartridges and clean the gold colored contacts where the pink tape was. Pls do the same to the mate pins in the cartridge holder in the printer.

Try again. If this does not be corrective, you may need to change inks again.

    Hi again, for cleaning, you can use soft cloth and a light solvent or even ordinary alcohol.

When printing black, the first page comes out in clear black, however subsequent pages are printed in red. In doing a second document the same thing occurs.


Be sure to update your printer drivers with the newest (correct) manufacturer's drivers.

Also, make sure when you print a document you are printing in greyscale. Otherwise, you're wasting your color cartridge. Speaking of which I would try another set of cartridges, and aligning them using the software that came with your printer. Your color cartridge could be malfunctioning.

Check that your black ink cartridge has ink inside, eventually try a new cartridge , as ink may have dried up in old cartridge.
If you use a new cartridge ensure you removed cellotape from cartrige.
If cartridge is ok, then it is printer nozzle/head for black ink.
In this case do nozzle check / head cleaning in printer tools a couple of times.
If problem persist you may need to check and clean printer's head with cotton and solvent.

WE HAVE A CANON MP530 COLOR PRINTER. DURING A PRINTING OF LABELS, WE HAD A PAPER JAM, WHICH WAS CLEARED. WE ARE NOW GETTING A MESSAGE "U052" CONCERNING THE PRINT CARTRIDGES, WHICH WE CANNOT...


Pls chk thoroughly the inner parts are clear of any shreds of paper. Blow air thro vacuum cleaner. A small piece of paper sitting on a sensor can create this sort of problem. (For eg, the cartridge stops at both the ends after 'sensing' the end. If paper sticks here, it cant sense and will lead to a crash)

Our Canon Selphy DS810 is not printing any color on the photo paper. I cleaned it several weeks ago, we have a new ink cartridge in and nothing. It was printing a light yellow color several weeks ago...


There are all kinds of printers and printing problems. It’s important to note at the outset that for safety reasons you should unplug your printer if you plan on working inside the device for any reason. In addition to the electrical hazard, printers (especially laser printers) can also be very hot on the inside, so use caution.

There are a few general troubleshooting steps you should take first, regardless of your printing problem. These will help solve most everyday printing issues.

Reboot. You’ll be amazed at how many printing problems simply disappear after you restart your computer. Also, reboot your printer. Sometimes, for no good reason, a printer will become wedged (it just stops communicating with the computer). Turning your printer off for a few seconds, and then back on, will usually get you going again.

Read the printer’s lights. Doing this can provide you with very useful clues. Is the power light on? Is the paper feed light blinking? Don’t be afraid to press buttons on the printer: Turn it off and on, reset the paper feed, and take the printer offline and bring it online again.

Check your physical connections. Is the power cord loose? Does the cable from the printer to the PC have a secure connection at both ends? Look at the connector pins on your cable. Are they bent? Try another cable if you have one. Check the print cartridges and printing mechanism. Is anything blocking the printer? Are the cartridges firmly in place?

Print a Windows test page. Access your printer’s Properties dialog box (follow the directions given above). Select the General tab and click the Print Test Page button. If nothing else, you can find out a good deal about your printer’s problem. If the test page prints, you have a problem with your application, not with Windows. Answer the questions as prompted and work through Windows’ Print Troubleshooter as needed.

Drivers. Verify drivers on the Details tab in the Printer Properties dialog box. Make sure the installed driver corresponds with your actual printer. Check the manufacturer’s Web site for updated drivers and browse the support pages on the site while you’re there.

Have you tried replacing the black ink cartridge with a new one. The new one you installed could have a defect.

Put compatable ink cartridges in to dx 5050 epson but will not accept message reads not compatable and printer wont work yet manufacturers say they will HELP is needed to get printer running


Hi,
if the cartridges are saying not-compatable, this means the printer has detected non-epson original cartridges.
If you go into your printer preferences, or program. And look if there is an icon or application, that says ** Change A Print Cartridge** if there is, follow the on screen instructions.
If you have purchased the cartridges from a shop/store. they may have not re-charged the chips. ( which informs the printer that they are Full )
Also make sure, the cartridges are firmly pushed into thier slots. a positive click can be felt, don,t be bashful about putting a little pressure on them.

Hi I have a Lexmark X63 and it says add left cartridge and will not print. I have however already done that. The computer says the printer is busy.


Try reinstalling the printer drivers and software, sometimes the printer does not communicate with your PC properly.

Can't print in colour


Hi Paddy,
It sounds like the color ink cartridge is clogged. You can try taking the color cartridge out, and take a paper towel and some windex with amonia. Spray the paper towel with the windex and then take the color cartridge, and wipe the bottom of the ink cartridge. After wiping the bottom of the cartridge, try pressing on the bottom of the cartridge (Print head) with the paper towel...You should start seeing some ink soaking into the paper towel. If you do not see any ink on the paper towel, then try wiping it again with the windex/paper towel. If after a couple tries, you can not get the ink to flow from the print head, then I would suggest getting a new cartridge.
The HP ink cartridges can get a bit tricky and the print heads will clog when the printer is left sitting for a long period of time.
