VIDEO ACCELERATOR NOT DETECTED

THIS PROBLEM STARTED WHEN I RE INSTALL XP PRO 2002 FROM XP PRO 2003. EVERYTIME I SCROLL THE SCREEN UP AND DOWN THE RESOLUTION LOOKS WAVING OR SLOW MOTION. WHEN I PLAY DVD MOVIES IS APPEARS THAT THE VIDEO CANNOT MOVE ON THE SPECIFIED SPEED SINCE ITS WAVING MOTION TOO. WHAT SHOULD I DO TO BRING IT BACK TO THE GOOD VIDEO PERFORMANCE?? THANKS!

Sounds very much like a video driver issue. Most likely from the aspect that the video driver MAY not have compatibility with your reinstalled o/s. Look for the video driver option, under system then hardware configuration. You MAY need to remove that video from the list, then have the Plug and Play reinstall it. The driver is perhaps on the accessories disk you should have with your Dell.

How do I solve the no video device detected in my

Hi There,

Go to this link first:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=228&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=3224052#N2027

At the top of the page choose your operating system (XP, Vista) and click ok or go. At the next page, click on the + sign in front of "Keyboard.......Input Devices". Scroll down to the webcam software driver download, click download and save to your desktop. Double click on the file on your desktop and follow the auto installation process.

If you've never downloaded a driver and installed it before, I suggest you have a friend who has done so help you the first time.

Best of luck.

How to install windows XP on my toshiba satellite A40, my bios not detect others device like my external dvd portable, cause everytime i instal with cd rom on my notebook always show 'blue screen error' or...

I'm not familiar with that specific model, but if you install from cd and get blue screens and the hard drive is not always detected, this means the hard drive is failing. You will have the same problem if you do manage to get the external cd/dvd drive to detect.

If the A40 is new enough to use a SATA hard drive (I do not think it is) then you need an XP cd with SP2 or 3 included or you will get bluescreens. But the fact that you can't get other OS to install make this an unlikely suspect.

The cd drive could be bad and not copying all the files correctly, but since you say the hard drive sometimes will not detect makes it almost certain that the hdd is the main issue.

No 3d acceleration in Vista on ATI 7500

Well, I'm amazed a C640 runs Vista at all. There's no reason to buy a new hard drive, except for the novenlty of having one loaded with Vista on a C640. It's a great laptop, and runs Windows XP PRo perfectly well. If you have one od the Dell XP install disks, just boot from it, and whenever it finds the vista install, hit excape, then at the next screen hit "D" to delete the partition, then choose "quick format", and load the Operation system. If you need an install disk, let me know. Good luck
