    Checked all connections, no fix
Apparently XP and INCD have decided to not get along. I uninstalled INCD and reinstalled the outdated program I have on my original cd and it appears to work ok. I haven't figured out why the updated program has decided to cause problems. It has been working since 2005 up until about 2 weeks ago. I thought it might be the cd burner but any other disk I run works ok.
    Thanks for trying.

Cd-rw not being displayed in "send to" on windows explorer

Probably easier just to add it back:

start>run>type in "sendto">click "ok">right click in the white area>select new>shortcut.

In the "create shortcut" box, click on browse and navigate to your cd/dvd drive, just follow directions after that.

I'm looking for a replacement CD-RW for my Gateway 720S

I had a Lite-On DVDRW that I recently replaced as well but it didn't fail. I upgraded my system and had to get a SATA DVD. I got an LG DVD-RAM that works great for CD and DVD single and dual layer in both XP and OS X86 10.5.5.

It was 40 dollars at Frys. You can get it online at www.frys.com if there is no Fry's Electronics in your area.

Cheers

Lite-on LTR-52246s

As a first step try running this and then reboot the computer. Sometimes windows loses track of CD drivers. I see one or two computers a week at work with this problem. If they doesn't work it could be a few other things, let me know if it works.

Good Luck,
Matt
