Dell Inspiron One 19 Black screen after dell logo boot up

Sounds like you have a video driver issue. See if you can boot from your "Dell Resource" CD or any other bootable CD disk. Power on the computer and tap the F12 key to get to the "Boot Selection Menu". Insert the "Resource CD" into the CD-ROM drive. Select "Boot from CD/DVD drive" from the selection menu. If the computer boots from the CD drive then you Operating System Software is the problem.

just go to www.support.dell.com, then click on MANUALS, enter your SERVICE TAG (which you can find on the bottom of your laptop, it's alphanumeric and ends with 1) then just follow the steps. you can actually find the online manual specific for your 8100 and latitude laptop, FOR FREE. you can download the manual or view it online. all the specifics and technicalities for your laptop will be available on that website. just make sure that you enter your service tag. or try calling their technical support, they can answer your questions as well.

My Dell Inspiron 6000 (which I think I bought in

Have you tried this:
1. After removing the battery
2. Press and hold the power button for at least 10 sec.
3. Put back the battery
4. Turn it on

if this doesnt work, there could be a problem with your operating system. Try accessing safe mode if you can login .TAP F8 continously on the dell logo screen, and it will open advance boot options. (Just select safe mode) If safe mode boots properly try running system restore to restore it back to the previous date where your computer is still booting to windows. Hope this helps

The battery is on the motherboard. The entire bottom cover needs to be removed. Most of the laptop needs to be dissambled.

You are having a display problem with the LCD, so kindly have it checked from dell and get the LCD display replaced from them if your laptop is under warranty

Dell Inspiron 8100 won't boot

Send it in to a repair facility, usually runs 80-130 online through ebay. Inspirons are known for blowing fuses/resistors. This may have happened, but either way if you pull the new battery and it dont work still with charger or vice versa you have a power issue on the motherboard.

Good Luck!
