Question about Linksys Wireless-G WRT54G Router
Hi my linksys home connection is working fine. However, I am trying to connect to my wireless with my work laptop. It indicates that the computer is connected to my wireless but when I try to access the internet "cannot find server is at the top of the page? How can I connect to my server?
This sounds like your work laptop is configured to configure the connection manually. Do you use your wireless at work? If you do not use your wireless at work, then you need to open your network properties (WINDOWS XP, click start button, then right click on "network places" and select properties, then right-click on your wireless card and select properties). in the middle box, double-click on the TCP/IP properties, and in the box that opens, select the button to "configure my network automatically". Do the same for the button at the bottom (DNS). This should fix the issue. If you do use your wireless at work, then you will need to remember (put into notepad and save to desktop) the settings that are in there already, and then set the same.
Hope this helps. If not, then I can get more in depth with you.
