Question about GE JKP45 Electric Double Oven
Hi- The top elements in both top and bottom ovens have both stopped working and this occured at the same time (not when using them at the same time ). When in the broil mode, neither will come on at all. In the bake mode, both ovens burn the bottom of the cake while the top is underdone. The top elements in both ovens do not come on. What is odd is that this happened at the same time - but I get no error code on my display. Are the elements dead (coincidentally at the same time) or is the touchpad bad? Help!
Gerrie824 look at the elements and see if there is cracks in them. If so then yes they failed. During bake the broil elements come on in 1/2 power to brown the top of what you are baking. If there isn't a break in the elements, then the issue could be a burnt wire, failed relay, or such.
