P35 S6112 Charges battery just fine. With Ac plugged in...Icon says running on battery even while plugged in . . Take 100% battery out ,leave Ac plugged in ...unit dies. Put battery back in take Ac out ...unit runs fine. Plug Ac in and it just runs on battery. In order to recharge battery..Unit must be turned off. When Charging battety sometines the yellow charging light goes out ....I take battery out ...put back in and it starts charging battery again. after 2 or 3 hours of this battery indicator light turns green.
    Any Ideas?

    Thanks

    Hypernez,

Did you have this problem AFTER you did a Toshiba update? I think I have the same problem but it occurred after the update and Im debating whether to recover the whole computer.

Toshiba P35-S611 wont power on! When i plug it in no led lights come on, i get nothing out of it. the led on the battery charger lights up but nothing on the computer, someone said maybe the motherboard? ...

yeah if you are planing to do it yourself..it is worth ..I just bought last week a broke one and I payed something under 100$ ..and I changed the motherboard in one that was doing the same..so ...if you think you will use it ..its worth looking on ebay ..or parts to buy what is missing
Anyway check the power line on the motherboard ..it may be just something unplugged..or a little part..but if it does not get any power..its just that ..
The fact that is charging the battery it means that the power is ok from the charger and the entry on the board...so check the ram memory ..and the power cable of the board...cause if the charging is ok ..and the fan is working ..it may be something like a cable or the switch itself..( in this case the switch board is changeable in a few minutes and has just a plug and 2 screws..

The inner connector for the AC power adapter seems to be loose inside, how do I get a replacement for that? Also, my AC power will not kick in when my battery gets low, what could be the reason for this?

hi i had the same problem, there is a fix to this but it means taking the laptop apart ( you will have to do anyway ) and where the power plug is it has come un soldered from the board you can try re soldering it back on then to prevent it coming adrift get a hot glue gun and cover it in hot glue this will stop it from moving about in future....hope this helps

The fans run but the computer fails to turn on

Likely either a bad power connector (common) or the charging circuit on the motherboard may have a problem.

Satellite P35-S611 has trouble charging

If you have to wiggle the power cord it is most likely the DC jack on the motherboard. It is usually the center pin in the the jack that breaks the solder point and the small tension band inside the jack housing weakens.

Please try to take the battery out then try to power on using the ac adapter only. It is okay to insert the battery this time. Hope this works. Thanks.

Always running on batteries

You can still use your laptop even if you take out the battery and run on ac alone. You can also leave your battery in with the ac plugged in for 4 hours to charge it even if the laptop is off. Hope this helps. Thank you.

My satellite P35-S611 will not run on AC power nor will it charge the battery

I have just fixed the same problem on my Toshiba p35 s611.
The power jack inside the laptop had been damaged. To reach the problem you must take apart the entire laptop (there are a few guides for doing this online). Next I simply found the positive connection coming from the jack (it is the wire coming out of the back of the jack) and followed it to where it enters the motherboard. I simply flipped it around and re-soldered that one spot. Other sites recommended I remove the jack but I couldn't melt the solder enough to do so, however just trying and adding some fresh solder was enough to fix the problem. I no longer need to jiggle the power connector to the right angle just to get power.
