Question about Nintendo Super NES Console
I have a really old (15-17 year old) SNES. The problem is the only game that works well is super mario world. All my other games such as star fox and f-zero dont work. i do have to admit my snes has a pretty screwy ac adapter cable.
The fact that any games work probably indicates the power supply is ok. The most likely cause of this problem is dirty game contacts. You can check this by the old blow on it trick. If you can get any of them to work by blowing into the contact area on the cart the game needs to be cleaned. A Q-tip dampened (not wet) with alcohol is the the easiest way to clean them. Keep at it with new Q-tips until they come out clean.
The reason blowing on games makes them work is because your breath is moist and the moisture helps make better contact.
