Indesit WIL 153

Please can you help. My Indesit WIL 153 is not running through the complete wash cycle. So, put the washing in - choose a program (doesn't matter which one I have tried them all!) - press start - fills with water and starts to wash. By that I mean turns for about 30 seconds then stops. But it just repeats this. I have left it on for hours and the only way to stop it is turn it of - put it on spin - turn it on. It spins fine and then finishes. Have unplugged to try and reset but still the same. Would be very grateful for any ideas!

Check your exit hose spigot, it may be clogged. This is if your filter is all clean (ref manual). There should be air for passage in the standpipe behind. Your hose should not fit airtight into the standpipe and neither too deep into it (maximum 7 inches). Snaking out your standpipe would be good too.

Brand new Indesit IDS105 Dishwasher will only complete pre wash cycle, on any setting.

Purchased a second hand Indesit slimline IDS105, to find it would only complete the first wash cycle, at the end of this cycle the LED Would just flash, with the waste pump coming on every 2 mins to empty it. Even after 4 hours it still didn't complete a full cycle.

I looked through the manual only to find that the error code was not explained. I phoned Indesit, after talking to 12 different people, the only thing the useless company wanted to know was whether i had warranty or whether i wanted extended warranty, then after establishing i didn't, they just biffed me on to the next, when i actually got through to a loosely knowledgable person they said they would send out an engineer for you as we are not allowed to tell you what the error code means, I just put the phone down.

So... to the solution, after dismantling the dishwasher i tested every single component, with a multimeter. Through elimination and research i had a hunch it maybe to do with the heating element or NTC Temp sensor. Tested the NTC, perfect. Tested the resistance of the heater this read 0.34ohm near enough should be around 0.29. So i took the mainboard out and tested the relay and this is where my trouble and solution arose. To test the relay i got a 12v battery and the datasheet for the relay, tested the contacts, to here a nice click....Then pop!!! NOOOO i blew the IC that controlled the Relay (ULN2003A Darlington transistor array). I ordered one of ebay (but RS,Farnell sell them for a cheaper price) Unsoldered the blown IC, soldered the new one on.

Put the Dishwasher back together, crossed my fingers, turned it on, and selected programme 2 (Normal wash) and pressed start. 1 hour and 50mins of intense tension later it had completed the whole cycle!!!!!!!! Ive never been so happy!!!

Cheers
Up yours Indesit!

Indesit wil 153 door red led is flashing after I set washer settings, doesn't start cycle ?

The flashing light means that the machine thinks the door is not closed (The door lock switch is not activating). 99% of the time this is simply a sticky switch and the solution is to give the door a good firm slam shut (Don't get silly here, but it will take a pretty good "teenager slamming the bedroom door in a temper tantrum" type slam).

In the event that this doesn't work, then you're looking at a faulty door interlock switch. They're not that hard to obtain or fit if you're fairly confident. Drop me a comment back here and let me know how you get on. Happy to help further if the above hasn't allowed you to solve the problem.

After the wash cycle dishwasher beeps

Hello, welcome to FixYa. While I don't have access to my PC files at the moment as I am on my iphone, I believe this is the procedure for most B/S/H/ built dishwashers ( that means Bosch, Thermador, Siemens and Gaggenau ). To Enable or Disable the Cycle Completion Signal... 1. Open the door, hold down the ?Quick Wash? button and simultaneously turn the Dishwasher on. The ?Quick Wash? light will blink (program mode). 2. While the light is still blinking, push the ?Quick Wash? button. ? If the machine beeps, then the Cycle Completion Signal has been enabled. ? When you push the button again and it doesn?t beep, it means that the Cycle Completion Signal has been disabled. 3. Turn the Dishwasher off to take it out of program mode. I hope this answer's your question. Thank you for choosing "fixya". Please rate the solution favorably if indeed it was helpful, if not please let me know. Good luck. macmarkus :)

The “Quick Wash” light will blink (program mode).

2. While the light is still blinking, push the “Quick
Wash” button.
• If the machine beeps, then the Cycle
Completion Signal has been enabled.
• When you push the button again and it
doesn’t beep, it means that the Cycle

Door jammed

take the top off the machine, put your hand down to the reigon of the door lock and by using a small screw driver the catch on the door can be forced open without doing any damage.
