Hi I Have a Sony LBT LX5 Hi Fi System, the front display panel does not light-up anymore, but the machine still works.

The display of these type of sets are of vaccum type one, which will have a heater filament inside. Like any other vaccum bulbs, the filaments of these part may get opened; and can be said damaged. It is a glass vaccum unit, can be located just behind the display window, will have to be replaced as a unit. OK.

I have wac700, cd stacked in cd driver. How can i remove side speakers and open the device?

1. Unplug the two audio connectors from the base of the main unit and free the external speaker cables.
2. Press in each of the bottom clips towards the centre of the main unit and lift the speakers up and out of their mounting key-holes.
3. Remove the six recessed T10 screws holding the back of the unit on.
4. Unplug the two ribbon cables between the main unit and front panel.

The CD mechanism should now be accessible and it any trapped CDs can be removed.

No sound coming from main stero

If the speaker wires are connected properly to the main unit and the unit lights up then the problem is a bad audio output ic, a common issue with Book Shelf Systems. The only solution is have it replaced with consideration of cost in mind.

I would like to plug in the sound of my television set to the panasonic SC-PM08. I tryed to do that by plugging in the tulip plugs in the "aux" connections, but no sound comes out. what could be the...

You mention "tulip plugs"! are you referring to your RCA jacks in the back of your unit? That is what the 7 inputs are to the right of your speaker connections.
When you hook your "stereo TV" to your external sound unit
you need to run your cables to your aux input from your audio out jacks on the back of the TV. Once this is done you need to configure your TV and your sound unit to work with each other. You need to go into your TV settings and tell it where to send the audio to. If you hooked into the front audio output then you need to pick that selection. If you hooked into the back audio out you need to pick that selection. Once you have completed that you need to tell your sound unit where to pick the sound up at. If you plugged into the aux then put your sound unit on aux. If you have more than 1 aux pay attention to what aux your TV is coming in on and set your sound unit accordingly.

Unit turns on, then clicks off with a "protect" message

You have a bad speaker on this unit or the audio output circuit is in need of repair. Try to disconnect all of the speakers and then turn on the unit. If it still stays in protect, you will need to have this unit serviced, unless you understand how these solid state circuits work. If the unit does come on without the speakers, turn off the unit and add one speaker at a time until the unit will not turn on. Disconnect that speaker and have it checked out or have the wiring checked out. Good Luck

Power turns off immedietly

Yeppers, when you where changing out those speakers, you shorted them and that in turn blew out the audio output IC inside this unit. This will require you to disassemble the unit, locate the blow output IC abd unsolder it, get a new audio output IC, put some heatsink compound on the back of the new IC, resolder the chip and reasassemble the unit. But before you turn on the unit, double check those speaker wires again to make sure they are not shorted as if they are, even one tiny strand, this unit will blow the IC again. Never work the speaker on any solid state electronic amp when they are plugged in and on. Good Luck
