Tasco Starguide My father-in-law passed away and never learned to use the Tasco Starguide telescope the family gave him. It looks great as a decoration, but we would really love to actually use it! The numbers are ST-60700CT D:60mm F-700mm Any way to get a manual?

I just bought a (partial?) ST-60700CT for 5 at a flee market. I think it might be missing a lens because when I look through the eyepiece the image is upside down. Does anyone have diagram (exploded view?) of 60700CT construction? User's manual? Will pay for honest assist.

I have a solution!
Tasco Starguide ST-60700CT is virtually identical to NexStar 60 GT and the NexStar manual can be downloaded from
http://www.nexstarsite.com/Manuals.htm

Astronomy telescopes almost always display the image upside down. Image orientation is not important when you are looking at planets, nebula, etc. For the image to be right side up there would have to be another lenses in the system that would degrade the amount of light delivered to the eyes, and more light is very important when looking at faint objects in the sky.

12 volts-- a car starter battery with the correct 12 volt cigarette light style plug will work just fine. Contact TASCO for the correct power cord--

Have inherited Tasco Starguide telescope, missing sighter scope and instruction manual. Are these available ? Thanks.

There is a website that has a selection of manuals for telescopes for free download. It is unlikely that they will have the exact one you want, as Tasco made a large number of different models, but it is worth a look- at THIS LINK

Need manual for ST60700CT. Any chance?

You will not find a manual for that telescope- however Meade maintains a web site with manuals for their telescopes. Look under REFRACTOR -- for one that is similar to your telescope.

Probably this one-

You won't find a manual for those small telescopes. However Meade maintains a web site for their scopes. Look around the page for one similar to your telescope and download a manual.
