How do i get my screen to go back it as gone small

Hi Sharon,

do you mean the writing on the screen is small or the whole screen is small ?
if the writing is small then you have just zoomed out of focus , you can zoom in by pressing CTRL + and zoom out with CTRL - on windows , or by using the scroll button on a mac.

ifthe whole screen is small then your resolution has gone somehow , to fix this right click on the desktop and choose personalise or properties then click on screen settings or resolution depending on which version of windows you are running.

using the dropdown box in the middle of the screen choose a setting which suits you , im guessing it is on 800x600 now choose 1024x768 this should make it better.

Hope this helps , further questions are welcome.

Attention autoconfig please wait -- this message keeps popping up in the monitor continuously. it also adjusts the contrast anf brightness some times automatically. please help

Sounds like the "auto config " is built in to your monitor. It selects screen sizing based on the resolution, sync timing, refresh rate, etc... that your video card is adjusting on the computer.

I would suggest you to try changing the resolution in Windows and see if still receive the alert.

For more information on Screen resolution and display on monitor, check the below Microsoft Help & How-To Articles:

3: Troubleshoot monitor and video card problems :-

If it is doing it often and you are not changing screen resolution I would say the monitor itself might have issues. It's possible your display driver may be corrupted. I would suggest you to download and install the latest drivers for the Monitor from the manufacturer's website.

For more information on Updating a Driver and fixing driver problems, check the below Microsoft Help & How-To Articles:
1: Update a driver for hardware that isn't working properly

2: Tips for fixing common driver problems

Check the plug and cable, look for bent pins or pins pushed in.
Are you using one of those DVI/VGA adapters? If your monitor has dual inputs (DVI & VGA) have you tried using the other input?

Anyway you could check if the issue exists when the monitor is connected to another PC? Or maybe try another monitor on your PC?

The Screen turns black when I attempt to start windows normally. It sounds like windows is starting, but nothing appears on the screen

Hi,

It sounds like windows has been set to a screen resolution beyond the limits of the capabilities of the built in LCD. Luckily windows has a menu that allows you to change to a highly compatible low resolution mode. To select this mode, start tapping the [F8] key just after the HP/Compaq screen when the computer switches on. Hopefully if you pushed the button in time, you should be presented with a menu. Use the up and down arrows on the keyboard to select the option that says either "Enable VGA Mode" or "Enable Low Resolution Video (640x480)".

Windows should now load, but everything will look extra large. To fix this, go into your display properties (right click on desktop and select either "properties" or "screen resolution"), and choose the recommended screen resolution.

I was playing a game and my PS3 froze up. I could not power down from the remote, so I pushed the power button on the front of the console. After a minute I turned the console back on. The blue&green...

Try this : When you put your ps3 on, hold the power button on the front of the console until it beeps 2 times, then the screen should start flashin and after that u'll get the chance to choose what resolution u want and so on.

When you hold down the power button like this, the screen goes back to default. Should fix your problem!

Screen monitor images on the righ side is not showig.

Hi afcarrillo,

This could be a simple resolution problem. By that I mean that the resolution is set too low, therefore putting things off screen. Here's how you change the resolution:

Windows XP

Right click the Desktop and select Properties. Click the tab all the way on the right that says settings, and drag the slider to your native resolution of 1600x900

Windows Vista

Click Start, Control Panel, Appearance and Personalization, Personalization, Display Settings and drag the slider to 1600x900

Windows 7

Simply right click the desktop, select Screen resolution and pick 1600x900

If you do not have a resolution problem, then it's most likely the monitor itself. Most often times you can fix it one of two ways:

1. Some monitors have a button that says "Auto" which will auto adjust your monitor. If you have one, try it.

2. If that didn't work or you don't have one, go through the monitor's OSD (on screen display) and work through the settings so that you can manually adjust it and set it to your taste.

Hope this helps :)

Monitor goes black - green light stays on

My screen is black, why do I not have a picture?
Answer Antenna is not hooked up to television.
  • Make sure that the antenna cable is correctly connected to the television. If it doesn't work there appears to be no signal.
Problem is caused by television broadcast
  1. Push 'INFO' button.
  2. If the screen shows channel number (1, 2, 3, etc) try another channel. Not all channels broadcast at all times.
  3. You may have a signal problem. Contact cable provider or local broadcaster regarding the specific channel.
Television is in EXT or SIDE mode, and there is no external source provided, so screen mute (black screen) is activated.
  1. Push NEXT SOURCE button on the remote.
  2. On the screen appears all sorces.
  3. Press the UP button to switch to the TV mode.
If you are using an accessory device (DVD, DVR, or VCR), be sure the device is on and running.
Blank screen when connecting to the accessory (DVD, STB, PC) device via HDMI to HDMI.

Answer
  • Make sure the cable is well connected .
  • To check which connection is selected, Press the i+ button on the remote control.
  1. When you see Blue mute / blank screen and the i+ display does not indicate any video resolution indication then there is no valid signal detected.
    • Make sure the HDMI output of the accessory is valid by changing the video output resolution to a resolution which the TV can handle.
  2. When you see a blank screen and the i+ display shows a video resolution indication then the connection is correct.
    • The blank screen is caused by the accessory device and not by the TV.
    • To detect and remedy the problem caused by the accessory device, check the instruction manual of this device.
  3. If the problem remains : reselect the HDMI external source input by changing to the other HDMI input and back to the connected HDMI :
    1. Press AV on the remote
    2. Press up and then ok
    3. Press AV again
    4. Press down and ok
    5. The compatibility check process between TV and accessory device will start over again.
  4. Reset (switch off and back on) the TV and also reset the accessory device.
