Question about Dell OptiPlex GX270 PC Desktop

1 Answer

Sound In my device manager, the multi media audio controller has a yellow question mark. Further, I can't locate a driver for it. As a result when I try to play CD, or radio, or anything with sound...I'm told "no sound device".

Download the Dell driver package from:
http://support.us.dell.com/support/downloads/download.aspx?c=us&l=en&s=gen&releaseid=R62850&formatcnt=1&libid=0&fileid=81156

And try a clean install of the drivers.

Kristilyn,
You will need to download and reinstall the sound drivers into the system or use the Dell Drivers disk that was shipped with your computer to install. You can download the driver from the link below.

Sir my windows media player is not running , it shows sound divice is not installed so how can i install sound divice

Check for the sound driver on ur system... see if the same is installed or not... To acess device manager in windows system... u need to click on Start-> then go to Run -> in the run box just type devmgmt.msc & u'll get th device manager to show up... In the device manager just check for sound video & games controller... If there is a yellow ? mark then u need to reinstall the drivers or else if there is a yellow exclamation mark then there is a driver conflict for the audio device on ur system...

Audio Drivers

that shows that the driver of your multi media have been uninstalled accidentally. you may reinstall the driver using your motherboard cd. you can check the status if this has no driver or not by going to the control panel, double click system, click hardware then click the device manager. if you notice a yellow question mark that means there is no driver installed. so install by using your motherboard cd
