Question about Kenwood DDX-6019 Car DVD Player

Doesn't eject my disks

I just recently put my DDX6019 in my truck and came across a problem; everything works just fine. the problem is when i put my cd in there and try to eject it; the player comes down half way and doesn't eject. it is like there is something keeping it from coming all the way down. i tried to unplug it and reset everything but that doesn't even work. is there another way i can deal with this?

I held my eject button down for more than 3 sec and it spit the DVD out and cleared the eject code when I reinserted it. Try it and see. But make sure it's a CD/DVD you really don't care about.

My first suggestion is to not purchase "used" electronics from eBay. I bought the same kind of unit from eBay... and mine is broken too. I got a cell phone, car stereo, and a remote.. they were all not working properly when I received them.

Did you try the restart button. It is a small, pin size button on the right-side of the unit near the 4-way select buttons. My player wouldn't eject a cd either, and when I pushed the restart button with a pin, the cd ejected and the unit was ok for playing cds... that's about it

haha ok shipping screw in a double din unit i have never seen before but in dual which is a big pos. but there should and will not ever be a screw that holds the laser in on a double din unit because the laserated in the very middle of the player on these models. sounds like you have a defective driver so i would try and get it exchanged or call kenwood
