Question about HP Pavilion dv6000z Notebook
Have a hp 7010 i bought it from someone and he formatted the notebook now he has given me the recovory cds i tried to boot the application from cd rom but it keeps on saying disc error and enter disc(something like that) he said that it was the correct cds all i have to do is make it boot and load the software but its not working and all the settings are correct on my notebook i have checked the BIOS and it says boot to cdrom first which i presume is correct please help someone i really have to use it soon I am currantly staying in south africa. please help me get this sorted out and please could you tell me what the problem is.
Recovery cds work only on the laptop at its original state, meaning not yet formatted, because the recovery disk is linked to the system to restore minor errors on the OS... Those cds have become useless since "he formatted the notebook", inside is not already the original files... Buy a windows XP installer and install it bu yourself... it is very easy....
