Hi,

One of my friend had the same problem what he did is reinstalled the operating system again and the problem was solved.

Before doing that i want u to once try this out hope this works.

start ur pc and keeping hitting the F8 key repeatedly then choose safe mode only and press enter. If u get that same protection fault then im sad to say u have to reinstall ur OS again and if u don't get then once u are on the screen go to start>All programmes> Accessories>system tools>system restore.

Yes now do a system restore and ur problem will be solved

Goodluck,
Please don't forget to rate me as fixya

This issue sometime occur when the system detected hardware problem. sometime this was cause by the memory problem, maybe u can cure this cleaning the memory or maybe replacing it.

If ever the newly installed hardware can cause also this error. in this case reformatting and reinstallation is very effective.

The VGA also is another cuase of this problem, please try cleaning the VGA card if ever it is add on.

If you are sure that the memory, VGA and other newly installed hardware, then maybe you should examine the motherboard try to see and feel if there is overheating portion in the chips.

Computer does not boot up
The problem maybe the RAM, it could be faulty or just needs reseating to make proper electrical contact.
Reseat the RAM and then boot up your laptop. If it still does not boot up then remove the RAM module/s and take them to your friendly computer repair shop and get them to test the RAM for you.
Just like you sometimes need a mechanic to repair your car, sometimes you do need a technician to diagnose and identify the fault or faults on your computer. Not only does a good service technican have the experience to deal with this type of problem, they also have the equipment that allows them to look at things the average computer user can't see, and he has a collection of replacement parts that can be used to quickly test individual components on your computer.

The repair process will take quite a long time.

Blue screen after clean install on Satellite L305-S5891 hd prob

wont allow formatting or deleteing of partitions.. check the bios and turn off boot sector protection.

to enter bios look at your screen when you turn the power on, it will say generally on one of the corners of the screen what button to press in order to enter bios to change the settings.

after that is turned off, try reinstalling again.

if the same problem is still there, try to replace the hard drive and see if the problem dissappears, could be a fault yhard drive.

Aspire 9500 doesn't start - cursor and drive indicator blinks

Generally the bios setting will be set to check the primary Hard disk for the Operating system and then move to the CD/DVD drive . It looks like your system is not finding the hard disk. Thats why its moving on the CD drive and trying to read it.

Possible issues :

1) Hard Drive crash
Solution : Nothing much. You need to replace the hard drive and reinstall the OS.
2) Hard Drive connection issue.
Solution : Open the chasi and try to figure out if the hard disc is properly connected.
3) Corrupted OS or boot file
Solution : Try to repair the OS use the OS cd and run the repair option.
4) Bios setting to treat CD drive as the primary media.
Solution : Use the F10 option in the Bios to change the primary Media.

Rate the Solution accordingly...

Verizon tells me I need to reinstall my aspire 9500 wireless card.

They must mean you need to reinstall windows on your computer. you can do it by using the cd's that came with your computer. By doing so you will loose all data on your computer so before doing it. make a backup of everything that is important on your computer.
