Ok first, power off, take the monitor off from its stand and face it up. You first, have to take the front frame out by using very thin flat screw driver. Be careful! you might break the screen if you push too much force. Start from the bottom edge of the screen where you can see little rectangular cavities. A thin flat screw driver will fit it and try to pry it to separate the font frame from the back. Try to do this for all of the cavities gradually together. After that loose 4 screws from the back and it will be easily to pull off.

Most all the dells open by gently prying off the front bezel
it snaps in place around the edges.
be gentle and don't put any pressure on the lcd or you will leave marks forever.

My Dell E193FP boots up with the computer and then

Seems to be a very common problem with this screen. Im taking one apart as we speak to try to discover the problem. In the mean time - check that the Power Input isnt loose, and you can wiggle it around. Usually means the power is arcing onto the board

Will the E193FP work with my computer?

Hi,
I would suggest , check the monitor connections again. Dell flat panels are plug and play and donnot require additional drivers.
Make sure , you have not connected , both the analog (vga cable with a blue connector) and the digital (dvi cable with a white connector) to the back of your computer.
Refer to the the link below , to troubleshoot the monitor

Vista video driver needed for Dell E193FP

There are no drivers for difrent monitors.

But if you provide your pcs brand, name, model.
I might be able to find a videocard driver witch might fix your problem.

Oh and what videomode are you trying to use?
