Usually in digital cameras, or any electronics that take memory cards, they will click in when you push in, but will only click out if you push down again. If this is the case, try getting some object that can reach down to the memory card and push down to release it of it's "lock in" mechanism. Then, take something like tweezers (or something smaller) to try and take it out.
If it is simply a "push in, push out" kind of memory card, go straight for the tweezers (or again, something smaller that can reach).
If worst comes to worst, you could always open up the camera and take it out that way, though there is a risk that you screw something up inside. You just have to be careful of what you touch/mess with.

Transfer photos to computer

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive.

I'm having a problem with the lens

Hi,
If your Canon SD110 shows saved picture in memory card in playback mode but does not show live view in camera mode then it is problem of ccd imager chip failure, that will be replaced.
Canon offers free of cost replacement of ccd imager in SD110, click Canon CCD Imager Advisory for details.
Thanks.

The camera will not focus on the lcd on my powershot A95, but it will show pictures from the memory card.

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check this link for more info.

Applicable cameras include:
A40, A60, A70, A75, A80, A85, A95, A300, A310, S1 IS, S60, S200, S230, S330, S400, S410, S500, SD100, SD110, IXUS V2/300/400/430/500, IXY Digital 30/30a/200a/300a/D320/400/ 450/500

Memory card is locked w. Canon Powershot SD1000

Your Sd1100 is compatible with a 4gb card, so that's not the issue. If the lock-switch is in the correct position, the only logical conclusion (which you have already come to.....good troubleshooting on your part!) is that the camera is busted. Send your two "friends" the bill. What a drag.

Need owners manual instructions for Canon Powershot SD110 Digital ELPH Plus: USB Cable, Software CD & Memory Card. Are these available at BestBuy? Thanks

Here's the owners manual, direct from Canon:
http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/0900001500/SD110IXUSIIsCUG-EN.pdf

And here's the Quick Start guide:
http://gdlp01.c-wss.com/gds/0900001503/SD110QSG-EN.pdf

Recommend skipping using a cable and software to download, and instead see this:
http://camerarepair.blogspot.com/2009/01/how-do-i-download-photos-or-pictures.html

And SD memory cards are very inexpensive these days. Your camera can understand maximum of 2GB, don't buy any higher, it won't recognize it. 2GB runs about $6 these days:
http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_gw?url=search-alias%3Daps&field-keywords=sd+card+2gb

And yes, you can buy all the above at BestBuy, but it may cost you a bit more.

Canon

Locked as in how? Like, it won't let you take pictures? Or...?
If it won't let you take pictures, then take out the memory card and look on its sides. There should be a small tab, near words that say "lock" with an arrow pointing down. Make sure the tab is up (not locked), stick it back in the camera and try again.
Also about the book. There are online instruction manuals all over the internet. Check with Canon's website, or just google search for your camera's name and type followed by the words "online instruction manual". So the search would be this. "Canon Powershot SD110 / IXUS IIs Digital camera online instruction manual."
