Question about Toshiba 55HX70 55" Rear Projection Television

Television is out of convergement

Use romote in converge mode it will not align the colors.....red and blue are out of wack??? help please

You need new convergence amp ICs there are two of them replace both. They cost around 10.00 each.

Thats the way it works. You have to adjust the other colors to the red. You adjust the red from the back of the set using the convergence magnets on the tubes. Then you adjust the other colors to match the red. It's much easier if you have the plastic screen from Toshiba used to align this set.

No.This tv have a convergence problems,it dead.The tv have R,G,B colors lines mis alignments,have colors shadows pictures or 3D pictures look alike?The tv convergence board,must be repaired by repacling 2 STK convergence ICS and some or all of it resistors too.To fixed the tv convergence board,to solved the tv picture convergence problems.The shop,will cost u like $300-350 for parts and labors.

Unable to enter convergence menu


These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony,Samsung, JVC, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Akai, Pioneer, Hitachi, Zenith, and others. You can get a convergenece repair kit wiith instructions from the links below.

Yours may have one or more of the following symptoms
  • Screen Looks 3-D

RED GREEN BLUE CONVERGENCE IS OUT.


if you have a rca hd56w66 chasis itc222 you may have the common fl231 fuse problem. I see this everday at the shop. to determine if you may have this problem. i have written a little article on this subject. Consult tips and tricks section under my profile. Going into maintence mode might have reset some settings.

Blue Halo - convergence issue with 43Hx70


The most likely cause is shorted convergence chips and possibly a few pico fuses.

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

What is your Chassis # ? And convergence problems can be some of the most hard to realign. You may need to replace amps.

How to adjust red blue green


if ur in service mode already..turn down all drive.green first turn it up until the desired intensity is achieve.then blue all the way until it almost blend the green.u must not see one color either too much green or blue.turn up red now,let it blend until u see a perfect black and white.note:make sure that the color level is set to minimum and tint to center. ihope i help u..

to do a proper convergence alignment always use your geen as refferance to work from bring the red and blue to the green also find the center of the screen and on the top and bottom to be sure your geen is centered then start/g
