Lost wifi settings on laptop it shows I have connections but wont connect and at the bottom of the screen it has onr screen instead of two

Turn on your computer and locate the Wi-Fi icon. This could be located on the upper row on a laptop it will have the radiation look ((())) Make sure its pressed on. Usually a wifi enabled phone, computer, or whatever device, will recognize if there is wifi access near you. If not you may need to turn on the wifi on those devices. Usually those setting can be found in menus like Network Settings. Once it recognizes the network you will need the password if it is required. Just enter that in and you are set. Where you enter the password is usually in the same menu in which you turned on your wifi enabled device. if still no connection Power on the laptop computer and wait for the operating system to boot. Right-click the wireless Internet icon in the lower right corner of the desktop. This brings up a new pull-down menu. Select "View Available Wireless Networks." This brings up a selection of different possible Internet connections that are in range of the computer. Select the wireless Internet connection you want to use. If a password is required, you need to type it in now. Wait for the laptop to connect to the Internet. In a moment the computer is going to state it has successfully connected to the Internet. Click Start, Run type in cmd and click Ok to bring up a command prompt. Type ipconfig /all and press enter and see if it gives you an IP address similar to 192.168.1.100. Check your wireless connection properties under My Network Places. Right click the wireless connection icon and choose properties. From there make sure Internet Protocol {TCP/IP} is listed, highlight it and click properties. Make sure Obtain an IP address automatically is checked and Obtain DNS server address automatically is checked. Make sure you Ethernet is enabled in bios restart your computer during the boot up process you will see on your screen a certain key to press to enter set up (BIOS) press and hold that key to enter bios using arrow keys scroll to intergrated peripherals look for SiS On Chip Pci Device press enter scroll to SiS 10/100m press enter make sure its enabled if still no joy Let's first try to start the wireless service i.e. WLAN AutoConfig service manually. To do this, login to the computer as an administrator.

1. Click Start, type services.msc and hit enter.

2. Locate WLAN AutoConfig service, double click on it to open its properties window.

3. Under General tab, change the Startup type to Automatic and click Start button.

Hp530 screen real dark can see little how to

If it's due to the display settings on your computer, please do this-

Keep on holding down the function key(Fn - probably second key from bottom left) on the laptop and then press F10 key till you get the screen to become brighter.

Please let me know if it works, otherwise, we will have to gothrough a series of steps to resolve it.

ACTIVATION OF OPERATING SYSTEM VISTA

Are you connected to the internet when you are trying to active your vista?. I can also tell you there are two ways to do it. First thing is if you click START and then Right Click on MY COMPUTER and goto the last option PROPERTIES. Once the new windows opens up scroll all the way to the bottom and wait for 5 seconds and it shoud say the status of your activation if you have the incorrect key you should click the Change product Key letters there and it will then ask you to input the right key that should be under your laptop. Once you have that done and have internet after you click next it should be activated. If that didnt work you can always disconnect the computer from the internet and call microsoft directly and they should help you with it since they have the activation code transfer to make it work.Im new on here so if my solution helped you please give some good feedback on my answer thank you

Laptop Wireless Connection Problem

I have previous experience with this wireless connections. I'm not familiar with AT T GSM device. In my experience I found that the manager can play up, but you can switch to windows manager depending on what windows you have. In Windows XP go to your control panel. Click on network connections, then select the wireless network connection. On the screen a window with the network connections should appear. Then on the left hand side down the bottom it will have Change advanced settings, and click on that. Then another screen appears with Wireless Network Connection Properties. Click on Tab Wireless Networks. On that page click on "Use Windows to Configure my wireless network". Once done, click okay or apply if appears. Restart computer and see if windows picks up you wireless connection provided you have WIFI on your laptop! Try that, let me know if you need more help!
