My sound is not working. when i switch it on, you will not hear anything and if you want to play a song or watch a movie it doesnt come. simply my sound is not functioning

check the audio driver in the device manager.
--> start\ right click my computer\ properties\ hardware\ device manager.

if you have OTHER DEVICES in the list
those are drivers that you will need to install
check if audio is one of them. if it is, waht brand of sys do you have? and model number too.

I tried to connect my emerson 227 bluetooth to my ps3. it tells me to press the start button and enter button on the device at the same time and wait until the screen changes.. well it never changes.. what...

Pairing the Headset with a Sony Playstation3 Entertainment System:

To pair your [EM-227] Bluetooth Headset with the Sony Playstation3 (PS3), go to the PS3 main menu, scroll to "Settings" and select.

Scroll to "Accessory Settings" and select.

Scroll to "Manage Bluetooth Devices" and select.

The menu will ask: "The Bluetooth device has not been registered. Do you want to register it?"

Select YES.

Put your [EM-227] Bluetooth Headset into discover mode (see X.XX of this manual for instructions on how to get the headset into discover mode).

Select "Start Scanning" from the PS3 menu.

Once the PS3 has discovered the [EM-227] Headset the screen will read "Select the Bluetooth device to register".

Select [EM-227].

The PS3 will ask for a passkey. Enter [0000] then press "OK".

Now press O (the PS3 circle button) to get back to the previous menu.

Scroll to "Audio Device Settings".

Change the "Input Device" to [EM-227].

Note: "Input Device" is the microphone, how others will hear you speak.

By default, the "Output Device" will now switch to [EM-227].

Note: "Output Device" is the audio, how you will hear the PS3 audio and others speaking.

If you would like to hear the PS3 audio and others speaking through your TV or Audio System, scroll to "Output Device" and switch to "System Default Device". If you would like to hear sound through the [EM-227] headset, then leave the "Output Device" setting on [EM-227].

To test your connection, speak into the headset and you will see the bars above the "Microphone Level" moving. If not, repeat the pairing process.

Press "OK" to confirm the new settings. You are now ready to use the [EM-227] Bluetooth Headset with your PS3 Entertainment System.

For further assistance with Bluetooth settings on your PS3 please refer to your PS3 instruction manual.

Install a new sound device

You probably need to install a device driver for your sound card if Windows does not support it by default. You should have a CD for the audio card which contains a driver, otherwise you can download it from the manufacturer's support site.

Here are some more steps on how to troubleshoot sound in XP.

Sound

Check if the audio drivers for your audio output device integrated on the motherboard is properly installed on the Device Manager(or you have to install it yet?) most of the time for newer motherboards came with built in sound and video, try to run the installation CD for your motherboard and most of the time it will automatically install the needed driver including the one for your audio device.

I cant hear windows

Your Windows System Sounds and sounds from other programs are output from the computers preinstalled soundcard. When you use a professional sound card i.e Mbox (ASIO) you can search google for an ASIO player or plugins for Real Player (or WinAmp or Windows Media Player etc) that allow you to use as the output device.
