The dvd plays and it flashes a black screen about every 20 seconds. Nothing wrong with the audio though.

- Mine does the exact same thing. It's driving me nuts. I've sent it in for repair twice. The screen blanks out even if a disc is not actually playing but the player is set to DVD/CD setting with just the splash screen displayed. So it can't be a DVD format issue.- sag713
