PS2 showing no video on TV, but I do get the audio
Our family recently changed over to DirectTV satellite and I'm trying to hook my PS2 (old school) to my TV and/or DVR and all I get is the sound when I turn it on and no video. I using the old RCA outs that I've always used but getting nothing. I've tried hooking it to the jacks on the TV and on the DVR with no luck. The TV is just a standard 35" tv, no HDTV or anything.

Well the LCD or TV must have rca..jacks yellow video..red and white is audio..if not u can get a component jack wires for PS2..red.blue..green...video....red and white audio..the TV must have those connections ..for PS2..or get old school cable connected hook ups for PS2..hooks in cable or antenna connecter on TV..UHF connected for ps2
I had the same problem. I fixed it by changing system settings, there is somewhere on the console where you can choose between two differant colour options. have a look around and try changing it on the ps itself.
you need to hook up the ps2 directly to the tv not the converter box the converter box is only for digital Chanel's that will go off air on june 12 but if you have cable or satellite then you don't need a converter box this is only for free Chanel's with they don't requires subscription to cable or satellite your playstation should work with out the box try to hook it up directly to the tv not the box
What type of TV are you hooking the cables too?
Most likely the TV settings will need to changed to one of the following. TV1 or TV2 using the input button on the remote, or channel 3 or 4. It depends the set up of the TV
unhook the cable box from the tv and hook that cable into the ant in on the modulator and run the output of the modulator to the tv.set the modulator and tv on channel 3.you may have to turn off the cable box to play ps2.please give me a rating if this was helpful,if you need more help just ask
try to trouble shoot if the wire is the problem, how? remove the 3 colored wires from the tv and ps2 then try to use the red color instead of yellow to the video from tv and ps2 (both red) temporarily do not use the yellow color. once a picture appears use now the white for the audio (both white) for left audio once there is a sound you may try the yellow for the right audio. i hope this will help you and hear a positve reply from you.
You need a 4 port A/V switch. Ebay has one:
are you using a/v (audio/video cables with rca ends), or direct to cable input on t v.? if direct to t v, did you check ch switch on back of system deck? otherwise is t v programmed for the correct INPUT. T V, AV1. AV2. OR AV3?
ANOTHER PROBLEM WITH OLD NES IS YOU MUST CLEAN THE GAME EVERYTIME YOU INSERT IT. TO CLEAN MIX ALCOHOL/WATER 1-1 AND USE QTIP. RUN IT UP AND DOWN BOTH SIDES OF CONTACTS. IT WILL DRY RIGHTAWAY.
did you hook the yellow up to a green jack labeld Y on the back? What kind of tv do you have? Some component inputs (the ones with the green Y jack) are not compatible with the video input you have, some are.
