Most likely the vacuum. The (door) that switches the heat from floor, dash, defrost, isn't switching. The door could be stuck and even though it maybe trying switch, it can't from being stuck or in a bind.

A/c and heat dash vents won't work but all others are fine

check the actuator motor on the heater sounds like the motor is not directing the air as it should. The motor is in the center of the truck inside attached to the heater and has arms on it to move the heater and ac doors.

Defrost and floor heat broke

Are you saying you don't have blower at all? Defrost, floor and panel are the only three separate modes you have. If it's not blowing at all and the fuses are good, check the wiring behind the glove box. There's a two wire plug with a large red wire just about center of the glove box opening that's known for burning out. If it is you'll see the burned spot on the connector or wont be able to disconnect it.

1998 blazer heat works great but defrost doesnt, could there be a blocked hose and how do i check?the defrost at the front wont blow.

if you have heat and nothing blows on defrost then this is a mode door problem that is not changing from floor to vent to defrost mode.it could be the mode switch or the mode door not working.the mode door is on the air duct under the dash and you can manually move it when you disconnect the control with your hand it should move freely.some of these have a small motor that moves the door.and if you move the switch in different modes or better have someone move the switch while you see were the door is the one that is moving is the mode door.if it won`t move on defrost tap the motor and see if it starts to work.if it does then it will have to be replaced if not it could be a switch problem.

1997 chevy suburban

most american cars force the defroster to blow cold air, this is not a problem, it does this by design.
