Make font larger on HP1510 printer

What font are you referring to? Have you prepared a document in a word processing program, or added text to an image file, and are disappointed because you want to see the text printed larger? If so, your best solution is to edit the document or image and change to a larger text size. For example, most text documents will normally default to either a size 10 or 11 text which is readable but small. Changing to size 12 or 14 will make the text look larger onscreen, and the text will also print larger. The font name and font size should be displayed on one of your processing program's toolbars, and is easily changed to a different font name or size. If you are simply copying an already printed document and want the text to appear larger, you should refer to your printer's User Guide. If you don't have the User Guide, you can download a free copy at this link:

HP 4350 with a 41.3 error- Paper size is set correctly and size switch actuator is OK. I tried another tray and also tray 1 (manual feed tray). That tray jams- no lift to feed roller. Any ideas?

I have seen many diferent 41.3 errors. Start by making sure tray is set to standard instead of custom and reset machine to factory settings. Next change out the roller assembly behind the tray 1. It has the selonoid on it. I have seen that cause it before. I would just replace the entire tray 1 to solve the no lift. good luck

Trying to print on heat shrink tubing, but will only print one then jam up in the printer lighting the error.

Your software is probably set to print labels with gaps. We're guessing that you need to reset Document Properties to Continuous. If that does not solve the problem, we're Hanover Technical Sales, Inc. Give us a call at 757-357-2677 and we'll help you thru the problem. Ask for Don

How do you install 3/8" shrink ribbon into Kroy K4350 so the writing is centered correctly?

The issue is not how you center the tube, most likely. It's in how you set it up in your software. Give me a call, toll free at (800) 304-9043. I'm Don at Hanover Technical Sales, Inc.

Broken Kroy 4350?

You may have the tube threaded over the green sensor board, instead of below it..

What size tube is it. 1/8 and sometimes 3/16 lets infrared light past one side or the other and trips the sensor, making the machine think there is no tube in there, also.

We're Hanover Technical Sales, Inc. We do Technical Support for Kroy machines. If we're wrong, we don't have enough info.

Need help with Kroy K4350 Printer.

This sounds like a hot pixel failure on the print head. The hot pixels are not repairable. The entire head will have to be replaced, most likely, at a cost of about $300. Hanover Technical Sales, Inc. (that's us) does Technical Support for Kroy printers, so we know what we're talking about.

Could it be something else? Sure, but without a pic of the issue, we'd not be able to guess what else it might be.

Make sure that heat shrink tube is clean and free of static electricity. When possible, use Kroy brand tube in the K4350. And we have a new hybrid ribbon that minimizes static at the head ... and consequently minimizes hot pixel issues.

Scanning

One approach that works for me is to scan the document at high resolution and then shrink it afterwards. For some reason this seems to result in higher quality than scanning at the final (lower) resolution in many cases. For example I use ACDSee Photo Manager to scan or post process a scan from elsewhere. Within ACDSee there is an option in the jpg output (file save as) dialog for quality versus compression. I set this to default to the highest compression and resave the jpg or convert to jpg if the file did not start out that way. This generally shrinks the file by up to 2x or even 4x without any degradation that I can see. For example the screen capture below went from 39k to 18k after this step with no resolution change. If that is not enough I then perform a resize operation, for example 50% which would further reduce the file size down to a quarter of the input size (the dimensions in each direction would shrink by 50%. Even after shrinking, I find that files lookbetter than if they had simply been scanned at the final resolution.f611aa5.jpg

Getting an display in the printer.

If you have the manual there is probably a section about this. It does sound like some parts may be wearing out and the printer is asking for new ones. Check out this link: http://www.printertechs.com/tech/maintcount.php A snip from the info there: If the display panel on your HP laserjet reads "perform printer maintenance", "perform user maintenance", or anything along those lines it means your printer needs a preventative maintenance kit, which includes a fuser and various rollers. Once you have installed the maintenance kit the message will only go away if you clear the maintenance count. For example the laserjet 4000 has a 200,000 page maintenance interval. Once you reach 200,000 pages the error message appears and you need to reset the maintenance count to zero to make the message go away.

Hp laserjet 4350 printing slow down

Look on the left side of the tray. There should be 3 white fingers that stick out. Make sure they aren't broken or out of place. Also slide the paper size lever and make sure they work properly. There is also a custom and standard switch. Try to print out of the MP tray(fold down tray). If it prints normal speed, you probably have a problem with the tray.
