I have an ATI RADEON 2400 graphics card with 256 mb.It is supposedly a compatible card for blu ray hd. I tried using AnyDVD and it seemed to work. However, this is not definitely a final solution.

If you are using a nvidea gforce graphics card then log on to www.nividia.com and update the driver.........if the issue s still not resolved unistall and reinstall the driver if the error msg is still there then upgrade the driver it will surely work.this error is there when the graphics card memory is low to support bluray disk ................as blue ray uses HD and HDMI so ,the graphics card might require an upgradation ........

Will not play Blu-Ray

If the Blue-ray movie disc does not play then the Region Code of the disc does not match the Blye-ray player's region code. This is the same type of Region code locking as they have on DVD discs.
For Blue-ray region code information, check out this WEB site.

assuming you have a blue ray drive, you likely need a blue ray compatible burning program . nero has blu ray support. you might try the demo at http://www.ahead.de. and also windows xp service pack 3 is required.

I would like to replace with a blue ray from LG

if it is a desktop this will be an easy change out, make sure to match it up if your old dvd drive is ide you will need an ide blueray if its sata you will need a sata blueray. but as far as i know they only have sata type bluray drives. eitherway open the case remove the screws holding the drive and swap them out. there will be the data cable (sata) and the power cable.
Make sure the pc if off and unplugged when you attempt this. afterwards if any cd's came with the drive you might need to install the drivers.

Blu ray

Hello timjul,

This can be caused by several things, look at the bottom of the disc and make sure its clean (not scratched up ect.).

If the dvd is new and has never worked on your dvd player it is possible that the region setting's are different. Look at the back of the dvd case and look for a little symbol of a globe with a number in it (1-6) and post that please.

Post the required info for further help. Thank you for choosing Fixya!

Does LG GGW-H20L Blu Ray Disc Rewriter supports in region 1 Hi Can the LG Blue ray burnner GGW-H20L region be open free code?

No it can't. DVD & Blu-Ray burners generally allow you to set the region a few times before it becomes disabled and set permanently, in case the computer is sold or moved to another region. But they will not allow you to make or play region-free discs.
