Code for door key pad

I have been told there are 5 different possible codes, but I can't imagine there are only 5 since thieves could try all 5 until they get the right one...

If you have gotten into your vehicle by now, (you posted this in February 19th), then you can find the code on the excursion behind the passenger kick panel and if it isn't there, check to the left of the brake pedal. In either location, the 5 digit code is written in small print under the bar code.

I know they have moved them around and they are sometimes under the dash on the driver's side of the vehicle. Mine is behind the glove box. I press the sides of the glove box in while opening it and it will drop open all of the way. From there, you take a flashlight and look in the back area towards the right side of the vehicle. Mine was located behind some wires that I had to move to the side to see it. The box is not very large, maybe 5" x 5" and is black. The code should be a 5 digit code and it will be the largest text you see on that module.

FORD KEY PADS

• Enter permanent factory code
  
• Press the 1/2 button within 5 seconds to enter programming mode
  
• Within 5 seconds enter new code, doors will lock, unlock to verify code, this erases previous codes remotes will also need to be programmed. (MAYBE)
  

KEY PADS/REMOTES

• Insert key, turn ignition off-to- on eight times in succession, ending with key in on position doors will lock, unlock to verify in programming mode
  
• Press any button on new remote, doors will lock, unlock to verify
  
• Do the previous step with the second remote, doors will lock unlock to verify.
  
• Turn ignition off. Doors will again lock, unlock to verify.
  

NOTE-Some vehicles use 5 turns of the key instead of 8

look online or go to the dealer and find a reprogramming procedure.

The key cylender has a switch attached to it so that is why that works. A relay must be at fault for your problem

Yes, but you need the factory code also. First enter the factory code (5 digits), then press the 1/2 button, then enter your own 5 digit code. You can use either code now, but there is noo way to erase the factory code.

SHOULD BE IN SOMEWHERE WITH THE MAUAL BOOK. IF NO THEN YOU WILL AHVE TO GO TO A DEALER AND THEN THEY WILL HELP YOU OUT.

the module is located on the pass side behind the glovebox area if you can see it the 5 digit number should be on it.
