Not sure which symbol is where plug in speaker dell precision workstation 420

I have been given a "throw together" computer setup which includes a Dell Precision Workstation 420 MT, but which did not include speakers. I have just recently got some speakers, but now I'm not sure which symbol is the place where I plug the speaker jack into the tower. Can you advise?

Thanks, Stefan at

I very much appreciate the courtesy, the quick response time, and the number of respondents (3) to my question. I also did try calling someone I knew, and he was able to successfully navigate the Dell website (I tried, but didn't do well enough there to find the answer) and he did find the answer. The symbol wasn't exactly clear, but the color of the right port was green. I will refer others here if the oppportunity arises.

Have purchased 512GB Crucial m4 2.5" SSD for my dell precision t7500 work station will it be working

make sure that your Dell's specs are in line with this drive. if you buy memory or hardware that is newer than the machine it is made for, chances are the technologies will not work together. so you should only replace hardware that is(will) compatible with the generation of PC you put it in.

Fix speaker on dell t3500

Easier to buy a set of external speakers. Just make sure you have a sound card that has a port to plug the speaker into. If not it's still easier to buy a PCI Sound Card and a set of speakers.

Dell T3500 Power button blinks yellow 3-5 times and the 1 and 3 numbered lights blink as well - then they go off together and computer will not turn on

Blinking Amber - System fault error condition including Power Supply (only +5VSB working), V reg (Voltage Regulator) failure, missing or bad CPU etc.1 and 3 LED"s indicatesMemory configuration error.
Just to make sure thatnothing else is causing the problem, remove any PCI cards like modem, videocard, sound card, etc... Remove the memory modules and disconnect cables toCD/DVD drives. Look at the USB ports to see if any are damaged.

My computer beeps when external drive is plugged into USB

That's normal, the node is recognizing the external drive. If it's during boot up it will look for a bootable partition on the external drive if its given 1st priority in the cmos.

SCSI Cables Keep Coming Loose!

I use electrical tape for such things. Just wrap it around the cable and then tape it to the tower. It is pretty safe and is easy to remove.

Although it may not be your video card thats the problem. when youre computers posts, it beeps once. If it is beeping more then once youll want to check with the board manufacturer to see what the code its giving means.
