You don't need to disconnect to use the phone. As long as your phone bluetooth is set up. You can dial from your phone and leave it on your ear as it is also a speaker. When you close the flap it disconnects the bluetooth from the phone

Problems pairing up a Nokia 6301 with my Motorola H500

Try power cycling the phone. Turn the Nokia off, wait 10 seconds, then turn back on and try again. It really does help sometimes. Let us know if this doesn't help.

Cannot connect to motorola phone tools using bluetooth

in the phone itself, you have to search for bluetooth devices and accept the found device in order for it to work, once set-up searching is not needed for that device again

Connection problem

1.Press and hold the Multifunction button in the middle of a boom headset while the headset is closed. The light will glow blue.2.Open the boom microphone and the blue light should remain on. If not, repeat step 1.
3.On the cell phone, press Menu > Settings > Connection > Bluetooth > Handsfree > New Device
4.Select H300 once a connection is detected.
5.The passkey "0000" is now entered to confirm the connection has been made.
6.The cell phone screen will now read "Bluetooth Connection".

Tips:
1.Provided you set the Bluetooth power to "On" after the initial connection has been made, the phone will automatically re-connect to the headset.
2.To set the Bluetooth power on - Press Menu, Select Settings, then Connections, then Bluetooth link, scroll to Setup and select that. Scroll to Power and chose Change. Scroll to On and press Select. The screen should now read "Changed: Power On".
3.Test Your Connection: Close the headset and watch for cell phone to say "Disconnected". Re-open the headset and the phone should be connected automatically and will now display "Bluetooth Connected".

please give good rating if the solution works.
Thanks for using FixYa.

How to connect the bluetooth??

I used this Motorola Bluetooth manual to connect my Motorola N136/HS 850 to my LG PM 325 phone. In the attached manual: Go to "using your headset" - "linking your headset and phone" and follow the instructions. You may need to revise the steps slightly to fit the functions of your phone. I followed steps 1 and 2, skipped step 3 and instead found the bluetooth icon on my phone, selected "add new", then selected "searching and pairing" and allowed the phone to search for and pair my bluetooth device. The Motorola Bluetooth device appeared on the screen of my phone within seconds as "Motorola HS850". I selected the device on the screen of my phone and followed step 5 entering the pin code "0000" and selected "connect" on my phone to begin using my bluetooth. I hope this helps someone. Bluetooth connectivity

Bluetooth doesn't shut off on its own unless you turn off your phone. In the bluetooth options, you should be able to select "Turning Bluetooth On", "Turning Bluetooth Off", or "Using Discovery Mode (60 seconds)." Discovery Mode, which I believe is what your using, is only used when connecting to another device. My question for you is, what kind of device are you trying to connect to?
