DEGX1 Drum not working

I tried drying a pilliow last night and I hopped in the shower, when I got out to check if the pillow was dry, i opened the lid and the silver barrel was closed all the way around. I held down the tab and got it open, but now nothing works! PLEASE HELP! when door is shut and power button pushed and start is pushed,
The dry progress lights flashes and goes to last light and stops having a steady blue light. That is all that it will do. Help

Unplugging did not help. Next step, please.

Coil is not broken. The thermostats all show continuity. 220v has been tested as well. As I mentioned, the unit does not tumble or do anything except "The dry progress lights flashes and goes to last light and stops having a steady blue light. That is all that it will do."

This has not been any help. Most anybody would check the cord and if it has power. I need to find the problen> AS I stated in the beginning, when I turn the dryer on and push power then push sdtart. The lights on the progress board flash to the end and then the end light is blue and the machine stops doing anything. The inter door does not close. I need a real expert. Thanks SAM

the first thing is try unplugging the unit for 60 sec.
otherwise i suggest getting a sevicer. as these machines are easy to work on only if you are familiar with them.

If u still wan't to take a risk then check the following:

If this doesn't work thenTo determine if the element is bad, you will need to take the unit apart and get to the element. The wire heat coil must be physically broken to cause no heat. If it is not broken, then you will need to check each thermostat for continuity, if you do not have a meter, you could always jump each thermostat out one by one to see which one is causing no heat. Always have the dryer unplugged when working on it. Replug only to test. I would still have my 220 volt supply checked before taking anything apart, the dryer can run and tumble, but not heat on 110 volts.

You need to replace your cord cap and maybe the wall outlet too. The situation you described would not be letting 240 volts to the machine, and therefore, it would not work.

I have already given you what the next step is but i don't want you to take a risk since it can be dangerous and i strongly recommend you to call a technician and get it repaired..

It is not a home remedy to further fix it..

I have tried drying a pillow on every setting but they come out damp. The dryer automatically assumes the items are dry and refuses to continue with the dryer programme. Is there an override function?

for driers to work , the air has to circulate in and around the object being dried and by nature pillows do not allow this to happen
hang it on a line in the sun to dry is better and more efficient

Samsung front load dryer will turn on but not spinning or drying. I was wiping it out and turning the drum I heard a snap sound.

I was cleaning mine and doing the same thing last night. Washed a load of clothes tonight and went to dry them and everything works on it except it won't spin or heat. Heard the same type of popping noise last night cleaning it out. Have you found any solutions? Mine is just over a year old. I did some reading and thing that the dryer belt came off its assembly possibly. Have you found a solution?

I have a whirlpool duet dryer.. I need to know how to put in the rack for the tennis shoes.. HELP

Hi dear. Here is some help from the user manual.I hope that helps.Thanks. DryingRack
To use the drying rack
Do not remove the lint screen.
1. Open dryer door.
Place drying rack inside dryer drum, positioning the back wire
on the ledge of the inner dryer back panel. Push down on
front edge of drying rack to secure over the lint screen.
Put the wet items on top of the rack. Leave space between
the items so air can reach all the surfaces.
NOTE: Do not allow items to hang over the edge of the rack.
Close the door.
5. Select a timed drying cycle and temperature, or an air cycle
(see following chart). Items containing foam, rubber, or plastic
must be dried on a clothesline or by using the Air Only
temperature setting.
6. You must select a time by pressing MORE TIME or LESS
TIME. Reset time as needed to complete drying. Refer to the
following table.
7. Press (and hold) HOLD TO START button (about 1 second).
NOTE: You must remove rack for normal tumbling. Do not use
automatic cycles with the drying rack.
This chart shows examples of items that can be rack dried and
the suggested cycle, temperature setting and drying time. Actual

Wont start. Extra dry light on and cool down light on.

Fault #3 Drum Stalled; unable to move.
  1. Check drum movement mechanisms: belt, motor and motor harness (if motor moves drum slightly, treat as fault #2)
  2. Replace the motor control module.
  3. Replace the motor.

Fault #2 Drum Gap Cannot be Located
  1. Ensure sensor module is correctly located and clipped in.
  2. Replace the lens on the sensor module.
  3. Replace the sensor module.
  4. Remove Top Deck and clean the sensing bumps on the outside of the drum end.
  5. Replace the drum.

Thumping noise in atlantis dryer after drying heavy mattress pad

Have you husband do a visual inspection of the drum and literally feel it to see if anything is caught or stuck on the drum. The motor also may have something caught in it as well. This would be the motor that turns the drum.

My fisher paykel dryer does not dry properly. I have to run 2 cylces to make the clothes dry

If you have to run the dryer 2 to 3 times as long to dry the clothes then you just need to make sure the vent hose behind the dryer isn't kinked up and the vent is open all the way out side ,,, that will fix it for you.

Hello dagreen,
Welcome to fixya.
I'm Huuum and happy to assist you,

You said,
Last night you filled the washer with a comforter and pillow cases! It was working fine and then you lifted the lid. Now it wont start back. Any ideas. It is full of water and had already started agitating.

Check the breaker
Could the power be out due to an electrical storm while you were sleeping.
If not!

Try pulling the plug out for 5 minutes or turning the breaker off if you can't reach the plug.
Then try to start. this should have reset the system.

Some Questions to check
• Is the drain hose clogged, or the end of the drain hose
more than 96 in. (244 cm) above the floor? See the
Installation Instructions for proper installation of drain hose.
• Is the lid open? The lid must be closed during operation.
Washer will not agitate or spin with the lid open.
• Is there excessive sudsing? Always measure detergent.
Follow manufactures directions. If you have very soft water,
you might need to use less detergent.

let me know how you do and that it works.
please remember to leave a rating when your finished.
