There is a cord call UMS but you shoudn't have to use such a cord, you'll in up purchasing the bracket which isn't cheap.Bazooka UMS8A bracket and 10A bracket.Call Crutchfield or The Nerds or go online with these two stores they'll head you in the correct direction but I'm sure the player has made a mistake.Always send in your warranty when purchasing devices and get the extended warranty if possible.SEND IT BACK for a NEW MP3 PLAYER,they aren't cheap to purchase.

No cord

Go to Best Buy, Radio Shack... (or any local electronics store), take your player with you. A sales associate will be there that can match up your player with the appropriate USB cord.

Headset only works in one ear.

I have owned several "stilleto" models, including the S100, S200, and the S50. I bought the protection plan through Circuit City (now useless), because I went through 3 of these units in as many months.
I am sorry to say but you are out of luck. The solder that binds your headphone jack to the circuit board has been compromised and the unit is an injection molded unit that makes it very difficult to disassemble and repair.
You may be able to find a local repair shop that still does this kind of work, and may be able to help you, but otherwise you have an expensive piece of junk on your hands. I have had heard of several reports of people contacting Sirius directly and complaining, and potentially getting a deal on a new unit, or even a free unit, due to a malfunctioning unit.

Your only other solution is to some how plug the headset in, and pull the cord in a direction that allows for both headsets to function. Once in the is position, keep it there by taping (or elastic banding) down the cord so the jack keeps pressure in that position.

Iriver H10 - DB Open Error

one idea...
connect player to your pc using the ums trick
What is the UMS trick on IRiver H10?http://www.zolved.com/synapse/view_content/5942/What_is_the_UMS_trick_on_IRiver_H10

This article tells you how to transfer music to your player The UMS trick is a great thing to know how to do. With it, you can transfer music, or treat your H10 as a harddrive to put anything you want on.
The UMS trick will also allow you to use your H10 with virtually any OS.
For 5/6 GB MTP Models
  • Make sure your H10 is turned off and disconnected from the computer.
  • Take out the battery, wait a second, and put the battery back in.
  • Turn on the hold switch (so that you don't accidentally turn the H10 on all the way).
  • Plug the H10 into your computer.
  • Turn on the H10 while holding the "O" button.
  • You will see the message "UMS Mode" if you have done everything correctly. You can now let go of the "O" button.
For 20 GB MTP Models
  • Make sure your H10 is turned off and disconnected from the computer.
  • Poke the "reset" button with a paperclip.
  • Turn on the hold switch (so that you don't accidentally turn the H10 on all the way).
  • Plug the H10 into your computer.
  • Turn on the H10 while holding the "O" button.
  • You will see the message "Emergency Connection" if you have done everything correctly. You can now let go of the "O" button.
For UMS Models UMS models do not need this trick because they are
always in UMS mode!

---download and run the free playlist maker called easyh10. It will read the music files on your h10, rebuild a playlist and save it to your player.

Through the menu system on the Sansa, change your transfer setting from MTP to UMS. When you connect your Sansa, you should now see a drive in My Computer into which you can drag and drop music files.

LG JM53

I have a similar problem in that it keeps re-building the library and I couldn't get songs off the LG.

Try installing 'winamp' its a free download music manager and is excellent - I tried several of the music managers and couldn't get into the LG, even the sw provided was useless but Winamp has done the business and I rescued everything off it.
