Not accept the new tape clean tape drive

Your question is not very clear.

Is the drive not accepting a new tape or is it not accepting a new cleaning tape?

LTO Cleaning tapes have a life span of between 20 and 50 cleans and once they go above this they expire and do not work again. I suggest you try using a brand new cleaning tape to try the cleaning cycle again and then try your backup again with a brand new tape too. This should eliminate all your media from you list of problems.

If the Superloader continues to either reject tapes or the cleaning light / alert persists then i am afraid it will need to be sent for repair as it is likely the read write heads will need replacement / service.

Visit the link below and they should be able to help and offer a full warranty too.

Red light blinking won't accept tape

If a tape "hung" up and it won't accept one you have a loading issue.

The unit may use a belt to drive the tray or a geared mechanism.

In any case someone needs to open the unit up to "see" what is happening. Most of these a tape can be inserted with power off and manually cycled into the unit to see the issue---we usually use a old cassette with the tape inside removed to avoid issues.

If you cannot do that consider looking for a shop who will (some no longer work on this type of equipment.)

Deck will not accept DV tape

most likely problem is a defective cassette housing. I've replaced about a dozen of these in AG-DV2500s.

Drive Will Not Accept Tapes

You are so impatient/ The problem with tape drives is the ferrous compound coming off the tape over time and building up- Each tape will need stripping and a good clean out with Coproponal Alchohol

Machine not accepting tapes

Just a thought : check if the head isn't blocked ! It should rotate freely (without any friction). I had more or less the same phenomenon (my VCR wouldn't accept any tapes and nothing was activated if I "pushed " a tape in). The reason was here that the VCR wasn't used for a long time (a few months), but it was plugged in all the time (heated up the interior). As a result the head was a-kind-of-blocked. Nothing serious, since I rotated the head manually my VCR works fine.

Accept the video tape

The unit may be locked due to the head needing cleaning. Try removing the battery for 30 minutes or so and then resetting it.
