When i try to listen to music it says Synchronize to continue Music Subscription. It only plays the songs that start on it. Everything else doesn't work.

I have the same problem, when I called Sansa they said it is with my provider so I tried Windows xp help line (no help) Sansa said their music player works best with Rhapsody. They didn't say that you had to use Rhapsady?

Tried resetting and using the firmware updater. Tried reformatting the microSD. Tried transferring the tracks affected from Napster directly insted of using WMP.

Hey smart ones(sarcasm) why dont u just buy the Sansa e250v2

its pretty much the same thing, just without rhapsody, thats how me and my friends are, i bought the one with rhapsody features(Sansa e250R) so i can play the songs that i bought and get free music channels for it, where my friend on the other hand has the Sansa e250v2 without rhapsody, u can still use rhapsody but u cant get free music channels for it, or u could also download best buy music manager or rhapsody and set up a free 31-day account for it to stop saying that for a while, plus if u got ur Sansa e250R from Best Buy, they can replace it, or trade u the sansa that u have with the rhapsody-free one(without rhapsody)

I want to format my e250, I would like to delete the muisc on it, so I can install more muisc. I have a HP computer with Vista.

Try this solution: Deleting Files,Pictures, etc from MP3 Player
Hook up your mp3 player to your computer Go to your desktop and double left click on "My Computer" When it opens you will see listing that says "Devices with Removal Storage" your mp3 player should be listed there. Right click on your mp3 player, and a window will open, right click on "Open" and now your files/songs should be visible. Hold the left click down and drag it across all the files/songs that you do not want this will highlight the files/songs you do not want, release, right click and then click on "Delete" Now you mp3 player should be clear of the files/songs you do not want. Be careful and do not delete files needed to operate your MP3 player. Good Luck, I hope this helps Please rate me, Thank You

My sansa won't play the music files

That is the problem with WMA's - they are glitchy, the licenses expire after a while, and the songs you paid for are no good if you allow your music service subscription to expire. You actually have to renew the songs through Rhapsody, delete the existing ones after your Sansa, and then re-sync them through Windows Media Player.

If you only download and transfer songs in mp3 format, they will never give you this problem.

E250 message "synchronize to continue your music subscription"

The songs that are giving you this message are in WMA - the music service that was used to download them either has an expired subscription, or you have to resynchronize that player to that music service (whether it was Rhapsody or not). Also, the songs that are giving you this message might have had fixed-term licenses, and now the licenses have expired. Here are your options:
1) Renew the music service subscription
2) If it is renewed, then resynchronize your player to that music service
3) Convert those songs to mp3 format (probably illegal)
4) Remove the DRM encryption from those songs (definitely illegal)

Those are your choices.

Syncing

Convert and only load Mp3 format songs - WMA's are way too problematic - you will keep getting annoying msgs like this every month. Read my two-part article on song formats under my profile to get a detailed explanation for why it is doing that.

Secronized To Keep your music Subsciption

What that means is s that you have to log into the music subcription, download a new songs and then transfer it to the device..that should update the root license folder that you have on your device.its like renting the songs from the subscription company..they are just making sure you have the subscription going...once you cancel you wont be able to play the tracks anymore...let me know if you need further assistance..
Please rate accordingly..

Synchronize to continue your music subscription

Do you have an account with Rhapsody? The preloaded music is part of the Rhapsody subscription service. If you dont have an account, you will receive that message until you delete the preloaded music, or subscribe to the Rhapsody Service. Best of Luck.
