Mouse i have an hp wireless mouse that suddenly stopped working. need help

cordless mouse-keyboards always give headache, change your mouse and take usb or ps2 wire-mouse, it cheap than wireless...
---- we has 4 pc with wireless key+mice in office and we kick all of wireless mouse-keyboards instead usb or ps2 mice-keyboards

Double check the batteries, although the lights work and the computer sees it, the voltage could drop low enough to stop the sensors.

next, try another USB device in that plug. USB port can go bad.

If the port works, it could be the wireless USB connector starting to fail, if they are bumped to hard sideways it can cause loose connections internally.

then, you might just need to update drivers. Computer update s can conflict with drivers cause devices toss top working.

My first guess is it could be the batteries. Have you tried changing it?

If it still won't work then I suggest reinstalling it.

Please insert proper batteries,high life alkaline batteries should be used only.

It is possible the mouse needs new batteries or needs to be charged.

Try replacing the batteries to see if the mouse starts working.

If that does not work then try re-inserting the wireless receiver into a different USB slot.

If it is usb base you need to press a connect button on the base and the mouse to connect the two together.

Try to completely shutdown your computer when you connect it and turn your laptop back on once the pc is already booted back up switch on the mouse...

i bought a new mouse

is it a usb mouse or ps3 if usb get an adapter and try that

try to borrow a new mouse if that doesnt work try tech support :p
