Question about JVC AV-48WP30 48" Rear Projection Television

What's the difference between AV-48WP30 and AV-WP74

I own a JVC 48" AV-48WP74 and the screen is broken. So I've gotten on E-bay and found a used AV-48WP30. I was wondering if the difference in the 30 and 74 would make any kind of difference on switching the screens.

The "hd cord" you're using is probably a DVI cable; they don't pass audio. For this to happen, you need an HDMI cable.

Check convergence adjust screen after picture distorts.

Description sounds like shading from a defective convergence circuit. If you replaced STK392-110 with 150, then re-install new 110's, or new 150's and re-design the circuit and change low-ohm resistor values to compensate for different IC's. It is not the same as a brighter light bulb.

JVC AV-48WP30 48 in. Rear... Problem

Your convergence I.C's ( integrated circuits ) Have failed. Replace Both I.C's with Stk392-150's. The unit is equipped with 110's. These are large IC's pn the convergence board located near the front of the unit. You need soldering/desoldering experience to do this job. I would recommend seeking professional assistance.
