Question about iRiver X20 MP3 Player

1 Answer

X20 8gb I have lost the lyrics???

All of a sudden when I play music, I can hear the music but not the lyrics/voices, the quality sounds like it's playing in a 'hall', kind of echoes. I've tried playing with the sound options but no change. How do I fix this and why did it happen? I've only had the thing for a few months

I use Samsung C3010. when playing music player, I don't hear any voice. I only hear the instruments. I've tried many airphones but nothing. can it be solved?

How are you obtaining the music that you play on the Samsung C3010? If you're recording the songs yourself, it sounds like you are recording one channel out of phase with the other. This phasing "effect" is how vocal eliminators work. Try playing back music from another source and see if the vocals return.

The earphone jack inside the player has broken the 'Ground' pin off the circuitboard. The jack needs to be resoldered. This does take an experienced technician with watchmaking skills.

Not able to hear songs properly in sansa e250 mp3

I am not familiar with this particular player, but this problem is usually caused by the headphone socket ground connection,

If the ground connection is lost then the right channel grounds through the left and vice versa.

If you can dismantle the player, check and re-solder the headphone connections. If this doesn't work solder a thin wire to a ground point on the PCB, then touch this to each connection of the socket in turn until the sound is restored. Solder the wire to this connection, and re-assemble the player.

WARNING : make sure that you have made the connection to ground. A live connection could damage the player.

The symptoms you describe are caused by a break in the earphone socket ground connection.

If you are confident enough, dismantle the player and re-solder the 4 connections to the earphone socket.

I think I know what you mean....
You can hear the music but the lyrics are very hard to hear in the background and are 'ghost' sounding.

This probably means that your Headphone socket is broken (or your headphones - try a different pair) and unless you are extremely adventurous and can get a replacement socket from somewhere then the only way to sort it is to send it in for repair. Sorry...

If I am wrong about what you can hear then please correct me and I will try and help further
